As others said, what a legendary ride and what a champion Froome proved to be by this. But how can we support him, dirty cheater, who would be most likely mediocre without SKY program. Really mixed feelings for the longlife cycling fan. I guess this is the reality, you cant see someone doing incredible things with credible career.

He crashed on the descent of Sestriere. Didn`t look bad at first and he was back on his bike, but must be injured. |

"Similar". Froome doing a 80 km solo in mostly not-uphill roads and not losing after any time in the final climb is similar to attacking in the penultimate climb and being helped by various team-mates all the way to the steep part of Galibier, and then lose 2 minutes only in the final 10 kms of his original gap?

Plenty of folks have accused Schleck of doping although perhaps not in association with that ride. I think a number of things make that ride less incredible:
1. Nobody chased him for a while - because of the GC situation.
2. Schleck had teammates in a break ahead of him and got help on the flat.
3. His lead maxed out at over 4 minutes but ended up at 2 as he tired and others behind him caught.
Froome did not have the advantages of #1 or #2 yet he was putting time into all the riders behind him pretty much the whole time and ended up with a bigger margin than Schleck. Despite the fact most of the groups behind had more than 1 rider working.
I don't know if Froome is a doper in the Armstrong sense but there are legitimate questions and Sky was/is clearly pushing the TUE rules to their limits (and beyond).
So the combination of a really incredible ride and legitimate question marks leave many folks here with a bad taste. |

Sorry if I have read it wrong but I do believe in due process and nothing yet has been proven in a place that matter. Maybe Froome should have self-suspended himself but he hasn't so we just have to live with this |

Well, there's always the Salbutamol case and the way, Sky operates in general. Mediocre riders come there and develop climbing abilities, no-one has seen before off them. Puccio, Porte, Poels, Roche, Froome, Wiggins, Moscon, Thomas, Rowe, Deignan, Lopez are all good examples. Maybe also Rogers and Knees.
Also, the fact that they started out as a mediocre team and only got good after they hired a doctor who had already a doping background. 0-Tolerance-Policy....great
Also we know the thing with TUEs currently. Froome got asthma...to be completely honest, sport is for comparing body and mind of different athletes and if you got asthma or other problems with your body, well....that's bad luck then. Then your body isn't made for that type of sport. That's the way how life is. I can also not just take some stuff, because my VOâ‚‚Max is not high enough, or because i lack talent or whatever. No excuses.
