Hey PCM fans.
I do not know if this is the right topic to put my subject in, if not, please move it for me
I am looking for a laptop which can run PCM 2017, and also the upcoming 2018.
My budget is about 12.000 DKK, thats about 1600 €.
I dont want some big gamer laptop, but a slim and nice laptop and size about 13", which i also can use for my study.
Is there someone who has some laptops in mind??
God da everybody. |

Most laptops with decent processor (doesnt even need a video card really) will run it. you dont have to worry about it |

Bare minimum go for 8-12GB RAM, i7 processor, SSD, and you should at least be good to run it on some settings.

Did some maths, that's about £1400... for that you should get an i7 processor, 12GB Ram, and a rather up-to-date graphics card (although i'm out of the loop on exact models atm). Go for a 15" screen, not 13", you'll be thankful for the extra size and 15" is still very portable.
Find a website that lets you directly compare a few laptops. Not sure on Danish sites but it's very useful being able to compare them together and see where different laptops are stronger or weaker.
With that budget you'll be more than comfortable for PCM17, 18, 19 and 20 and probably a bit beyond that as well. You'll be good for a lot of current games for a while...

Okay thx guys!
I found a laptop with these specification:
Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor
NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX 2 GB grafikkort
16 GB ram
512 GB SSD harddisk
14" Full HD skærm
Windows 10 SIGNATURE
Will that be enough??
Or will the Dell XPS 15 9560 be enough??

I disagree on screen size, I've gone from 15 to 13 and much happier, I find the 2 inches less makes a massive difference for transporting in my rucksack and what not and ive played PCM happily on it |

I don't even own a laptop but will still slightly disagree with everybody - for 3D games the gfx card matters much more than the CPU. Of course, a better the gfx card means more power and more heat and that's not easy to squeeze into a slim 13'' laptop - plus it's more expensive. Anyway, my advice is to find a website which compares notebook gfx cards. You can probably do better than a GeForce 940MX 2. Having said that, PCM isn't anywhere as demanding as, for example, the latest Far Cry, so I'm sure you'll be fine in any case. |

Yeah depends on whether the OP wants to be playing different games as well or just playing to play PCM |

I can play on max settings on a 2013 macbook pro. I also used to play on max with a 2013 Toshiba with a GT730 mobile gpu. This game does not generally need a power pc/laptop. Minimum should be 4gb ram by todays standards, 8gb is preferable. |
