I could write a longer rant about it but i dont think that changes anything or anyone's opinion on NCs.
Advantages:
- all riders in my team will ride in the same jersey
- i dont have to bother anyone with NC jerseys
- NCs will be won by someone who cares about them
I could ask you as well: What exactly is the advantage of taking part?
I know its an unpopular opinion but imo NCs are a pointless gimmick race that don't have any benefits / dont add anything to the game.
I fully do understand his point, there really isn't any major benefit to them. My guys didn't ride any better because a couple of them had NCs. But for most of us, it is another fun part of the season to cheer for.

This shows me that it would be a good idear - to make some small rewards - like a one year bonus +1 or +2 on the riders worst skill or something that wouldent do too much but still just a tiny bonus.
I'm voteng for that all raceing should have some small revards also U23 ect.

To be fair, that would have very little impact, +1 (or +2) to the weakest stat would make a noticeable impact on only a tiny handful of riders, looking through the best riders in the DB I found that the only riders who get even a tiny benefit would be:
Ponzi --> 69 TT (for hilly tours)
Spilak/Kwiat --> 68 SP
Several sprinters (Ahlstrand, Degenkolb, Roelandts, etc.) get an MO bonus which might help them very slightly.
Also Wisniowski get all his stats coloured in.

I know - but as all riders are not able (allowed) to ride in these races it will be the ballance to find something that make it slightly interesting but far from gamebraking.

It wouldn't be worth implementing though if there actually isn't any noticeable benefit though.

Maybe add like +1 RES because you try harder when you have a nice jersey?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hey, here's an idea: How about giving the winners a special jersey for a season?
In all seriousness though, I'm pretty sure the NCs are partially there to make the offseason last shorter, as a lot of work is probably done behind the scenes. So if it's either this or nothing, seeing your riders do a few more races is a pretty nice bonus already. |

My point was that if someone like knockout is not in this, even a small chance to win something could make it somehow more useful.
Dosent have to be a +skill, lots of other options, small budget + or whatever.

I didnt want to kick off a discussion about this and i also think further incentives are the wrong way to go.
A bonus (money, points, stat increases, ...) should always be about equally hard to earn for anybody. But a team like Tinkoff / Aker naturally has only one or two NCs to ride while a team like fjhoeckie can win countless NCs. So awarding any kind of bonus / incentive that impacts the game to NCs feels wrong to me.
Jerseys are a good enough incentive already and most managers seem to be interested in that already. It's just that I'm the weird manager who doesnt want to have NC jerseys and i figured it would be easier to not sign up instead of explaining that i want that rider X who became national champion of country y will ride in the main jersey and not in the NC jersey
