Congrats to Sagan, deserved win and great ride. Have to say stupid tactics from other favourites, surely Quickstep especially played it all wrong. Terpstra showed he could have matched or beat Sagan many times even today - not even counting a not-attacking (and nullifying each other) Gilbert and Stybar.

Dillier with an awesome ride, always seems to be aggressive in these classics so cool rider and put in a classy performance. Easy to say "what if" about his tactics, personally I think he shouldn't have pulled through late on but not saying he would've won anyway - or held on. Amazing ride for him either way Grin

Great ride by Dillier and by Sagan, but the tragic death of Goolaerts leaves me a bit empty.

Still, here's the uplifting story of Siskevicius, who finished outside the time limit, could only fix a late puncture because his team car had broken down and was on a flat-bed truck behind the broom wagon, then got left behind even by the broom wagon, found the gate to the Velodrome already closed but still managed to do his lap of honour:
