Gorka should be closer to his brother by now, imo. He has been riding consistently well for some time now. At least bump his potential up to 5, and put his HI to 76 imo.
Otherwise, i took a look at some riders who did well in Tirreno, and it seemed you already updated most really well. Good job |

Olifardh and Redsskull: Wellens has had a number of upgrades across the stats in general. As for following stronger stat riders this is possible to a degree depending on the difference between the stronger and weaker stat riders and this is where for example the RES stat can make a difference between the weaker rider if he has high RES and the stronger stat rider as long as his RES is not too high.
With good form Wellens should be able to follow or minimize the gap due to his RES.
Tuens is a hard one, gets his high hill from FW and the end of last season but now it seems can climb mtns. Originally we statted him like a Gilbert type rider that had a high hill but much lower mtn, with the aim to work on his RES to help bridge the gap between his hill and lower mtn. Over the next few months we will look at Teuns and have a 'check tag' next to his name as a reminder.
Purepasd Gorka was an oversight but I have now made some changes to his flat, hill and res to bring him a bit closer to Ion. We will watch him over the next races to see if he can be improved more but clearly a strong rider in general

Thanks Although I believe he deserves more already, look at his GC's from TDU and PN the last two years.
Also, Simon Gerrans needs a pretty heavy downgrade by now. He hasn't been strong on hills for a long time now. It seems that he is still a strong domestique on the flat and for lead out or for hilly terrain, but not 77 HI at all anymore.
Perhaps:
HI: 77->74/75
RES: 78->74 |

With his current stats he would be able to ride like that at TDU and as for Paris-Nice I have added it to his fav races and 3rd and 4th are very strong performances in a race like Paris-Nice. Gorka is clearly a better rider than many people including myself have thought. I've always thought of him as a strong dom or a rider that can win stages, it seems he is now better than this. As said before will watch his coming races and with high finishes at TDU, Oman and Paris-Nice is clearly in his best form.
Agree about Gerrans and have dropped to 76 for now at least until the classics are over. Sometimes when we suddenly drop a rider like so they tend to put in a really good performance. If he rides exactly like a dom with no impressive performances then clearly 74/75 hill will be good

How often are stats updated in the workshop?
Or is the current focus on the upcoming 2018 EP? |

Nearly everyday there is a race or stage.
The problem with this though, is that its easy to identify which riders should have increases but harder to detect which riders should have decreases. Which means before each EP it is most important to have a major stat check for which riders by stat type should have a decrease. So before the next EP release this will be done for the riders. So for example riders like Gerrans will unless they do something face decreases in stats like hill.

As Selwink stated, unfortunately we can't give out any kind of date for the 2018 DB due to circumstances in the DB Team, until either Matt comes back (leader and coordinator) or somebody else with his abilities is able to take up the slack. By and large the stats will be ready anyway, which to be fair is the easiest and least time consuming part of the DB as long as they are done nearly every day
As for Hodeg he's on about 73/73 sprint which imo is way too low. If anybody wants to give some suggestions please go ahead. The reason I ask is because I don't know him that well after only having seen him a few times in highlights. Things to bear in mind about him though when stattng:
1. Is he a leadout man on great form.
2. A natural sprinter whith higher acc than sprint
3. A more balanced sprinter with equal sprint and acc
4. A sprinter with good hill which will allow him to save energy on bumpy courses
5. A sprinter with a high flat that will help him get into position
6. Is there another sprinter that he is comparable to

Very superficial here, but he does seem to have more acc than spr
.. Maybe 74/76 for now but it can change until the end of Catalunya. We'll also see how he deals with the hills wich is something I havent noticed yet.. He did win Handzame with ease wich shows regular classics skills

To me he seems like a classic heavy sprinter with equal sprint and acc and good in flat. Let's see after the hill today, but I don't think he will make it very far if they actually ride the hill.
FL: 73
SPR: 75
ACC: 76 |

Handzame is definitely not the hardest race out there though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Will look at climbing over the rest of the week and all above stats are subject to change

True but he did beat WorldTour competition easily in a race that takes place in Belgian territory.. That says a lot for a neo-pro in a top team

But he got dropped there. Quick Step had to bring him back, surely he doesn't deserve it then?
