A very good start for us, only Goos crashing is not good. Let's hope he's not injured. But yeah, stage win, yellow jersey, green jersey is looking good and Goos already taking a few seconds on the competition.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Froome
This was supposed to be an epic battle
Especially if Froome got the Yips and crashes again and again as seen in the MG at times. Hope he'll stay uninjured.
3-4 on the stage is ofc sweet for CarbonSports and the Froome crashes put Contador into a good position. The upcoming TTT should help Contador further.
A short overview of TTT teams of contenders for the upcoming TTT:
Team | TTT | GC contender: | Bunzl | 80-78-78-76-76-72-69-68 | Tejay | CarbonSports | 77-76-76-75-73-71-68-68 | Contador | Liberty | 77-76-76-75-72-72-71-70 | Herrada | Lufthansa | 77-75-74-70-70-67-67-65 | Porte | Sugoi | 80-79-75-74-72-72-69-68 | Froome |
Stats are looking quite close to each other. I guess Porte could lose a bit but the other four should not be impacted too much by the TTT.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Coming to Le Tour with no GC ambitions whatsoever, just hoping Bouhanni can bag a stage win and someone will battle for the KoM jersey. So far Bouhanni has been there but couldn't quite get the results. Fédrigo in the breakaway on the first stage of his first race of the season and last race ever was nice to see.

Hope Cav recovers from his crash in time for the flatter sprint stages!
Shame about Froome "doing a Bardet", hope he recovers too.
Congrats to Ollfardh, Van Poppel looking good.

Hm no crashing in a GT is called "doing a Contador" after he did twice in the past two Tours, so too late for that. (Besides I don't think Bardet crashed in the Giro?)

Can we please stop using Contador and crashes in the same sentence? Just until the end of the season?

Fantastic result for Statoil on stage 1! The stage and the yellow jersey, if only for a day, the TdF is already a success, a PCM sponsor would love it.

Big Time thing for Statoil! We didn't exactly start good here though.

Nizzolo's abandon is another step closer to relegation.
We're reliant on Tilegren and breaks to give us any points now, luckily breaks are our speciality.

@knockout: I don't really think you need to worry about Porte. He usually finds a way to under-perform

I just included him because he is a podium contender, not because i worry about him

Only by stats. He isn't otherwise really!

stages 4-6 added https://pcmdaily.c...st_1283505
Spoiler Statoil drilled up some Epo but got zabeled on that stage 6. Crazy performances by Hillis' boys so far. Second, who the fuck is Tacio Mendez? Never heard of that guy before. Meanwhile, Froome with another crash.. seems like he caught the bug.

Van Poppel clearly injured after his crash. I thought that green jersey was in the bag but yeah. Really annoying the two riders that crashed are my two leaders, but I'm definitely not the only one with bad luck here.
Good TTT and Goos doesn't look injured, I guess that's something.

The bright side of Nizzolo crashing out is that now Spagnoli can sprint, he won't achieve anything, but maybe a future green jersey winner can get his first TDF top 5?

Well, well, well, looks like Porte didn't wait till the mountains to lose time! Useless!
EDIT: How could he leave best pal Froome behind after all
