Doug Pederson also should've been coach of the year. |

Eagles will not win this. Cowboys are a better team they just had some tough injuries this year. Going to be nice seeing NE win #6.
Imagine thinking the Cowboys are better than the Eagles lol. Obviously no bias at all either.

As a Rams fan, what McVay did to the Rams was simply amazing. The biggest turn around from one season to the next in NFL history. Dont really think you can ignore that fact.

I don't watch NFL that often, but #27 from the Eagles absolutely owned it on defense.
From a neutral point of view that was the right winner in this final.

Enjoyed that game, glad the Eagles won!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

So that was heartbreaking... Awful refereering at times, but hey, that's football.
Eagles has had an amazing season and winning it with a backup QB, makes it even more amazing. A worthy winner. Even though it still sucks.

You can't but they did just win the super bowl and you can't ignore that fact (although the voting was beforehand), but if you look at the end, they lost 3 games all year and won the super bowl with a backup quarterback. Just remarkable. |

That was a great game. Hilarious to see Brady just completely botch his last couple of possessions. He was playing like he was stoned out of his mind. He just wasn't in it. never seen that before.
As a Giants fan, seeing the Eagles win certainly isn't my favorite thing, but it's nice to see the Patriots go down.

North Dakota native Carson Wentz gets his ring and the all controversy that goes with having his backup win the Super Bowl MVP.
A weird time to be a sports reporter in North Dakota. Too bad I don't get to cover any of the national stuff. Wentz went to high school at Bismarck Century, a rival school to the teams I cover.

Thats true. I dont think the award really accounts for playoff performance though, or perhaps the winner would have been different.

You're a sports reporter? That's pretty cool, maybe you can cover some more important news in the future. |

Now what does Foles do? Obviously he won't want to ride the bench behind Wentz but does he really want to pack up and head to Cleveland? Some interesting possibilities include Denver & Arizona. Let's see what happens in the crazy off-season as well as some draft talk coming up in a few months.
Any predictions on who opens up the NFL season in Philly next year? I'm inclined to say a division rival like Dallas or Washington.

Awesome awesome game, a true all-time classic match. So many different records set and smashed, an absolute joy to watch.
Top quality work by both teams, only tiny margins making the difference. Philly played a brilliant game, spreading the offence around not allowing Pats to settle. Blount and Ajayi made good yards but Clement was the outstanding runner for them, his catching work in the field was excellent. Foles looked incredible, such confidence with the throws and belief he'll make the gaps in the coverage.
Pats adjusted well in the second half, freed up Gronk to more one-on-ones and get themselve moving. Amendola pushed hard as well in the second, making good plays. They looked imperious right up until the sack-fumble. And even then a luckier bounce could have taken them to OT.
Philly have the ideal problem now, expect them to trade away Foles for some serious quality probably in draft picks.
Pats have some thinking to do, but it'll be usual off-season stuff for them making smart moves and staying just as strong. Could they move for Foles as a replacement for Brady? (highly unlikely, but they do need to think about how they replace him sooner than later).

The main goal for NE right now should be retaining Gronk. He has been hinting towards retirement and also hinted he was open with communication on other teams. Patriots I think will draft a QB also in the second round as they do not have a 1st rounder this year.

Given whatever has happened with Butler the Pats should be going for a cornerback somewhere in the off-season. QB, CB and probably look for a new TE because whilst they could keep Gronk for another year or two he's not a long term player any more.
(Does anyone even know what's happened with Butler? Or got any sort of reliable theories? because i know nothing at all apart from he got dropped and no-one saw it coming or knows why).

A writer at PFF is saying Malcolm Butler missed curfew, got caught with weed, then had a meltdown on the coaches.

Dolphins placed franchise tag on Jarvis Landry yesterday. The hottest WR FA just came off the market for another year. Let's see if he pulls a Leveon Bell and skips most of the training camp and preseason.
