Oh come on, what's wrong with it now? It's a great name for a regional cycling project.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I was rooting for fjhoekie but I did actually see Fidel Ortega return so I thought it was you I like the idea but not the name Sorry CYBM Pacific is fine

I didn't asked if you liked it, I asked what was wrong with it? I can understand riders like Joey Stalin getting refused, but this is just a fitting name for promoting the Pacific islands with a regional cycling team.

Fine, bad wording, not what I meant. I'm not sure it's a realistic name but I can see your argument. Confirmed

48 hours left, three spots to go. Is a full house possible? At least can we get two more so knockout doesn't moan at me when I move him to 15?

Can you estimate how time consuming this will be?
Is de management part heavy? |

I can't 100% but the race planning will be at least 15 minutes every 2-3 weeks but I will try to open them early so you could do maybe 2 months at a time even (if you're not around I'll put in the most logical replacement for injury cover, etc.). Any other stuff shouldn't take long if you don't need it to, and development stacks even if you miss a season break (which will last a while).
Since there's no rp aspect to it the regular race planning is the only time consuming part, plus whatever staff/training you do in between (again shouldn't take long there, and then transfer season. All of this I could be wrong about but I think it shouldn't be very time consuming really. If you have any details about how active you could be or when you can be active around here you could PM me and I could try work out if it's feasible for you to play, but it should be yes
The management part is designed to be as heavy as you like, obviously more time invested in planning future budget transactions and trainings, etc. will benefit you like in any game but to be successful it shouldn't take too much. |

About 30 hours left for any new sign-ups.
For those waiting for the season to open, while I finish the stats for all teams and wit for the deadline, the January Calendar has been revealed in the spreadsheet. When all stats are done and the approximations posted, the race planning and staff purchasing may begin. You will receive your initial budgets then as well

OK, I am in under the wire. Realized you have no Belgian teams which seems like a gap I had to fill. So filling out the spreadsheet now and will PM you with additional information.
Cartamundi Pro Cycling is the team.

So we're done with sign-ups. 16 teams in, a very good turnout, I'm stoked with that, thanks a lot to everyone who signed up. Three teams still to go with statting, I will try to get those out soon so we can start the game in the next couple of days by opening up race planning and staff/scouting.

That's it. The stats approximations are out, and so are all budgets. The race planning sheet is open, as is my PM inbox for any staff or scouting purchases you may wish to make. Massive thanks to trekbmc for creating the formula for the stats approximation that allowed it to happen much quicker and fairer than it would otherwise
The deadline for Willunga Hill Classic planning is on the 31st of January at 8pm GMT Remember optional tactics are also open via PM to me. All details on race planning can be found in the opening post. Best of luck, hope you all enjoy it
One more thing, no revealing budget or transactions
EDIT: Here is the format for staff/scouting purchases. For each purchase (i.e. multiple levels or stats) a seperate row:
Staff/Scouting | Type | Level/Target | Cost | Staff | Chef | 5 | 25,000 | Staff | Chef | 6 | 45,000 | Scouting | Team | Rothaus - Lindt | 30,000 | Scouting | Rider | Christophe Laporte | 20,000 |

I have a few questions about race planning,
If we have 2 riders we want treated as equals leaders and select 2 co leaders and no leader, are we still allowed 1 Lieutenant? if so which leader would he work for, would he be split evenly between the 2, or for the one better positioned/ that looks stronger.
Could we select separate lieutenants for each co leader, and specify which one was for which co leader in a tactics pm to you e.g. if we wanted it to look like there was a rift in the team and the 2 co leaders were fighting for leadership with their own individual super domestiques al la Astana tdf 2009?
And for stage races are we only keeping track of GC and stage wins or are things like youth, KOM and points something we keep track of aswell?
Probably not stuff that I'll need to know for the first few races but as the season progresses it could effect planning down the line.

Very much so, however in a situation like that I would absolutely need a tactics PM to know what to do. Stage races will have breaks, not every stage all theAnd for stage races are we only keeping track of GC and stage wins or are things like youth, KOM and points something we keep track of aswell?
I haven't got points for those three competitions this year to keep it easy but I'll be letting people know how each competition went as that's certainly what I'd want as a player. Next year if I feel I can manage it I'll add points and full rankings for those three competitions as well. Just seeing how we go.
Also thanks to somebody contacting me I have realised the couple of months at a time situation revealing the calendar won't work alongside fitness. It's not done yet but I will endeavour to do it by break one, otherwise known as the end of February. But for advanced season planning, imagine it to be fairly realistic. March and April are cobbles and hill spotlight, sprints are scattered, mountains too a but I can say June and July would be a nice time for climbers to peak

The budget you sent us, that plus prize money is all the funding right? So need to make sure to save money from that for training during the breaks?
By the way, enjoyed the preview very much. |
