Interesting idea, and I've come up with a subtle theme to help me in creating the riders, so I might as well join!
The team will be called 'Antler - SAS', and will be Irish registered. This is more for tax purposes than a particular affinity with the nation - although it will match up with the nationality of one of my leaders.
The 6th slot on the spreadsheet is still free, so I'll take that one.

That's actually a coincidence, as they were the first and last names I created! And while there's a reason for the ordering of the domestiques, it isn't related to my theme.

I'm kinda in the mood to revive a Team Dark Dog for this one. But I'm not a fan of fantasy riders  Guess there would still a free space the next days? Need some time to think about it.

Confirmed! 10 teams locked in now, I know at least another one is coming, would love to see more as well! 15 teams would give almost 250 riders in the game and around 100-man fields for each race, a big amount A few things to note:
- I don't have a set schedule for when I'm closing sign-ups but it won't be ages away: It'll be a max of 11 days until I want all stats locked in so I can have it all sewn up for the initial race plannings around the start of the school term and whatnot for me I can keep the sign-ups open that long, especially if there's constant interest or somebody tells me they can't do it until then.
- Doing the maths there I have set an upper limit for the team numbers for the first season of this game: 18. I could handle more if this goes well, I won't make any commitments to deadlines for the season but if there is more interest than that or people miss it I will certainly look at expanding it, and the next season won't take a year to come around like other games (not that that's bad, just different scale really).
- Those of you that have entered already have all done a great job. Many of you have sent in one-line or very detailed descriptions of riders, I'll take them all in and tailor the riders that way. If others are planning to please let me know as I hope to start doing the stats in the next 24 hours, I can put yours to the back of the queue if you so wish.
Of course those that don't won't get disadvantaged at all, this just helps create niche or unique riders and customise them. Otherwise I'll give strengths and weaknesses myself. Even just for leaders or specific riders is fine Same goes for new entrants from now, send me a PM when you make your team either with the descriptions or telling me when you will be able to, otherwise I'll assume you're not going to
Thanks again for the interest, some interesting teams already coming in. We should see some good battles and varied tactics in our first (2018) season |
