Our first race as a PT team is done aswell as our first race with expectations as a PT team.
We started off with Badaling Int. we were very anonymous is this race but still managed to get a good result with Kristan Haugard Jensen taking 15th. We think thats a good result for us and if KHJ or Bystrom can keep getting those places on hilly races this season we will be very happy.
1 | Peter Sagan | Moser - Sygic | 5h39'28 | 2 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | s.t. | 3 | Yuri Trofimov | Tinkoff Sport Academy | s.t. | 15 | Kristian Haugaard Jensen | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t |
Next up was Tour of Qatar a race for Jonas Ahlstrand, with him in the lineup we always have some expectations for a good result.
He was a bit uneven in the sprint and was outside top 10 twice but on the other hand he took one podium place, 3rd and also 4th and 5th.
He ended at a solid 6th in the GC. Phan Age Haugard races decent on the last short TT and got a 22nd place in GC to score some more pts for us.
1 | Sam Bewley | Moser - Sygic | 14h36'54 | 2 | Ben Swift | Aegon - Lavazza | + 21 | 3 | Bryan Coquard | Festina - Dexia | + 41 | 6 | Jonas Ahlstrand | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 54 |
We have some interesting debuts in our jersey the coming month, Joeri Stallaert will show his talent on the cobbles sections in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
Tim Wellens will ride his first race for us in Italy at Tirreno - Adriatico.

Quite a good Qatar for the team with 6th in the GC and three top 5s. Decent in Badaling in the strong field.

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
Time for debut for Joeri Stallaert, he was in the talk of getting a podium here thanks to his good cobbles-sprint combo. His support on the cobbles aint the best so he made some work himself maybe got a bit tired before the sprint, still decent result.
1 | Kris Boeckmans | Strava | 4h29'00 | 2 | Greg Van Avermaet | Evonik - ELKO | s.t. | 3 | Florian Senechal | Pendleton's | s.t. | 5 | Joeri Stallaert | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. |
Tirreno-Adriatico
Another time for debut, Tim Wellens we have some hopes for a top 10 results here.
Tim did crash once but still look good and was just outside top 10.
1 | Aleksandr Pluchkin | Nemiroff - ABBYY | 29h59'03 | 2 | Taylor Phinney | RBC Pro Cycling | + 2'26 | 3 | Joseph Dombrowski | Pendleton's | + 3'12 | 12 | Tim Wellens | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 10'06 |
Classique du Grand-Duché
Not the strongest startlist for a PT race so Bystrom had some chances to score some pts. Top 15, good enough.
1 | Peter Sagan | Moser - Sygic | 5h53'55 | 2 | Ben Gastauer | Vesuvio - Accumalux | s.t. | 3 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Grieg - Eftel | s.t. | 13 | Sven Erik Bystrom | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. |
Paris - Nice
Aiming for a top 15 by Haugard Jensen or hunting for a stage win. He did better then that. Thanks to that this trippleclash race went good for us with top 13 results in all of those 3 races.
1 | Alexey Lutsenko | Pendleton's | 31h14'45 | 2 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | + 9 | 3 | Yuri Trofimov | Tinkoff Sport Academy | + 46 | 8 | Kristian Haugaard Jensen | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 4'01 |
Milano San Remo
Big race, top 10 goal. Reimer or Ahlstrand depending on how hard the race gets could get us that top 10 goal. It looked good long but we kind of screwed up a bit in the end waiting for Ahlstrand instead of giving Reimer the chance.
1 | Michael Van Stayen | Evonik - ELKO | 6h52'06 | 2 | Jurgen Roelandts | Pendleton's | s.t. | 3 | Sam Bewley | Moser - Sygic | s.t. | 18 | Kristian Haugaard Jensen | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. | 19 | Sven Erik Bystrom | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. | 20 | Martin Reimer | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. |
After a good February for us we our going in to March with SAA Tour d'Afrique as the race we hopes most on. Also Stallaert on the cobbles later in March will be interesting to follow.

Looking forward to your very first Grand Tour as a PT team!
Very nice lineup and pretty strong as well.
With California clashing you got it well balanced I think.
As I am racing in both as well and imo having squads that will probably fight against you for positions, I am interested, which of us go out with a better feeling. |

Strong selection for the Giro/California duo-header. I can see you score quite a lot of points from that.

@ roturn
So Swfit will be in Italy?
Yeah it will for sure be very fun to ride a GT as a PT team!
I´m not in love with Abal´s hill stat... so our top 10 goal mght be hard to achieve even without knowing the startlist. Hoping Lövkvist can one last time overpreform and get a decent GC spot aswell.
I dont count on scoring the same amount of pts in any races (beside maybe cobbles ) as a podium contender when it comes to the title.
California will also be fun to see what Wellens can do and if Haugard Jensen once again will do better then Bystrom on those hill stages.
@SotD I hope you are right |

No Swift there. Not enough opportunities.
But Groenewegen and Olivier will hopefully show themselves. Quite a few hopes that first can take his first PT stage win this season while later hopefully repeats his top10 of last year.
Advantage in Giro likely a bit on your side with stronger sprinter and better depth.
Though in California I hope Dekker can beat Wellens.
In total a nice double mountain stage race for both of us I guess. |

Lecuisinier, Wellens, Dekker... Could be a deadly fight for the podium spots. I expect that they should all be in the region of 2-6.

April and our first GT is over!
April looked interested beforehand for us, with or first GT as a PT team for instance.
Paris - Roubaix
Stallaert-time, after his good top 10 in RvV we hade hopes for him in the hell of north aswell, unfortunalety it did not went as we hoped. Stallaert ended at 22nd.
1 | Sam Bewley | Moser - Sygic | 6h36'50 | 2 | Florian Senechal | Pendleton's | s.t. | 3 | Greg Van Avermaet | Evonik - ELKO | s.t. | 22 | Joeri Stallaert | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 4'15 |
Giro d'Italia
Mixed feeling about our time in Italy, Ahlstrand overall dissapointing "only" getting two podiums and that was only as 3rd. We really thought we can secure a stage win here. On the other hand Abal raced really well in the mountains and achieved our top 10 goal!
1 | Jose Alarcon | Hugo Boss | 85h24'56 | 2 | Peter Velits | Moser - Sygic | + 6'32 | 3 | Lachlan Morton | Jayco - Cobra9 | + 8'05 | 7 | David Abal | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 15'55 |
Tour of California
Tim Wellens was guy who could fight for a top 5 in this race with a bit of luck, that needed luck was not really there.
1 | Tom Jelte Slagter | Hugo Boss | 22h27'12 | 2 | Andrei Amador | Team UBS | + 26 | 3 | Adam Yates | Ayubowan! | + 4'08 | 11 | Tim Wellens | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 14'24 |
GP Liechtenstein
Much mountains, no real leadar for so no expections for us here.
1 | Rein Taaramäe | Wiesenhof-Andritz | 8h17'15 | 2 | Joseph Dombrowski | Pendleton's | + 1'13 | 3 | Andy Schleck | Vesuvio - Accumalux | s.t. | 36 | Magnus Cort Nielsen | Spotify - Haglöfs | +17´03 |
Amstel Gold Race
Hills aint our strongest area, Haugard Jensen took a top 15 in the first hilly classic this season which made us believe he good deliver those results all season long. He could not acheive that here but still a decent race for us, with two guys in top 30.
1 | Peter Sagan | Moser - Sygic | 6h08'34 | 2 | Yuri Trofimov | Tinkoff Sport Academy | s.t. | 3 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | s.t. | 22 | Sven Erik Bystrom | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 2'14 |
May is coming and with then the sun, hopefully
Another GT coming up, can Abal take another top 10? No, not with a big amount of luck. Hilly-classics as usual not real hopes for good results for us top 20 maybe. Ending the month in Norway and a new chance for Ahlstrand to take a stage win.

Vuelta a Espana Stage 15, it finally happend our first win in a ProTour race as a PT team. Earlier this season Ahlstrand took a stage win in a PTHC race but this time Kristian Haugard Jensen took a win in a Grand Tour, after going in the BoTD his attack away and could take it.
Look and enjoy this beatiful picture!

Despite going "home" in May it´s not our favorite month of the year when it comes to races. But we did still get some good results.
Fleche Wallone
Ardennes races means no big hopes for a good result for us. But in this race we actually got a decent result from Haugard Jensen.
1 | Francesco Ginanni | Gazelle | 4h35'56 | 2 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | s.t. | 3 | Wilco Kelderman | Team Puma - SAP | s.t. | 15 | Kristian Haugaard Jensen | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 1'38 |
Liege- Bastogne - Liege
We did not get any result like Fleche Wallone here, we did not even get any guy top 50, thats bad...
1 | Simone Ponzi | Hugo Boss | 6h05'41 | 2 | Simon Spilak | Festina - Dexia | s.t. | 3 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | + 19 | 64 | Martin Reimer | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 7´22 |
Vuelta a Espana
Another GT and another chance for Abal to be our GC leader and he did it very good again securing our 2nd top 10 result in GT. Stallaert was here for the sprints, he only manged top 10s not any podium by him. Kristan Haugard Jensen had a free role here and he said "thank you" with a stage win from a breakaway.
1 | Andy Schleck | Vesuvio - Accumalux | 85h12'32 | 2 | Joseph Dombrowski | Pendleton's | + 27 | 3 | Aleksandr Pluchkin | Nemiroff - ABBYY | + 2'59 | 8 | David Abal | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 18'22 |
Scandinavia Open Road Race
Our "homerace", could we give our fans a great result? No, unfortunately not
we underperform here...
1 | Toms Skujins | Evonik - ELKO | 4h31'56 | 2 | Jan Bakelants | Strava | s.t. | 3 | Simone Ponzi | Hugo Boss | s.t. | 23 | Sven Erik Bystrom | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. |
Tour of Norway
You could call if our seconds "homerace", and we did better here then in Sweden. Ahlstrand kicking it off with a stage win, Freddy and Phan Age did good in the TT but then Ahlstrand failed big time in the last stage which ended up with loosing the pts jersey...we could not get a good GC place at all because many of our guys lost time on the flat stage 2.
1 | Jerome Coppel | Festina - Dexia | 16h59'08 | 2 | Matthias Brändle | Isostar - Adriatic | + 1'23 | 3 | Kazushige Kuboki | Meiji - JR East | + 1'48 | 45 | Martin Reimer | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 4'03 |
June= pre. Tour de France
Starting of in Schweiz, can Wellens do better then he did in California?
At the same time we have a flat one day classic where Stallaert/Reimer will try to get a result. The off to France where we will se David Abal racing for the last time this season. Will he get a good result once again?

The summer is really here
June went on, and it became a better month then we expected it to be.
Tour de Suisse
This was a really stacked startlist and before the race it looked very hard for us to even get a top 10 here, but a few contenders had some really bad luck and we with Tim Wellens as our leader had the luck on our side.
1 | Rein Taaramäe | Wiesenhof-Andritz | 31h36'21 | 2 | Tiago Machado | Porto - Prio | + 3'57 | 3 | Aleksandr Pluchkin | Nemiroff - ABBYY | + 4'15 | 6 | Tim Wellens | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 13'01 |
Lac Megantic Classic
Oneday race for the sprinters here, we did not send Ahlstrand here so our hopes for a good result was not very high. Stallaert surprised every body and sprinted well.
1 | Bryan Coquard | Festina - Dexia | 4h06'25 | 2 | Matthew Goss | Indosat Ooredoo - ANZ | s.t. | 3 | Mark Cavendish | Kraftwerk Man Machine | s.t. | 4 | Joeri Stallaert | Spotify - Haglöfs | s.t. |
Criterium du Dauphine Libere
Mr. Abals last race for the season, the starlist was much weaker then in Suisse so we had hopes for a top 5. He started the race really well and he even fighted against Dekker for the win a long way into the race but struggled the last two stages and thereby faded down 3 places.
1 | Thomas Dekker | Aegon - Lavazza | 31h57'49 | 2 | Romain Sicard | Orange Pro Cycling | + 2'03 | 3 | Mattia Cattaneo | Wiesenhof-Andritz | + 3'11 | 5 | David Abal | Spotify - Haglöfs | + 8'15 |
And its here, the biggest stage race of the season but we dont have very high ambitions here without knowing the startlist we aim for something close to top 10 by Wellens. After that races we go to Czech for a 4 day race with two TT and two flat stages.
| Tim Wellens | Leader | | Sven Erik Bystrom | Stage Hunter | | Martin Reimer | Sprinter | | Thomas Lövkvist | Super-Domestique | | Magnus Cort Nielsen | Super-Domestique | | Thomas Vedel Kvist | Leadout | | Asbjørn Kragh Andersen | Leadout | | Havard Blikra | Helper |

Late summer is coming=August
Biggest race of the year is done, and it started well for us and Wellens he faded a bit in the seconds halft but still a good result for us and securing us another top 10 in a GT. That means top 10 in all three GTs for us this season.
