It's probably because they've scheduled the 3D race before the "simulated race".
I remember this issue in PCM2015 custom databases as well. |

No. The easiest thing to do to prevent this annoying thing for future years is that the date of the playable race is moved to the day of the announcement of the new champion (so that is 30 June in this case). Otherwise you'll have to assign national champions yourself

The problem is that I can't find some Championships in the Editor.
I use Lachis Editor, and open the CDB, go to Races / racesrules and i only see 3 or 4 national championships. Where are the rest??
I dont see for example le Tour the France. Because if i put some champipnships the 1st or June, I can put the start of Tour of France the 2nd of June

The dates of the races are in STA_STAGES
easiest thing is to open STA_RACE with lachis editor, sort on the type of race.
then all national championships are grouped together.
click the plus sign on the left of the race you want to edit, and from the list it opens, you can open the STA_STAGE record for that race.
there you can update the racedate |

you can edit your savegame. There is no reason why you would lose your other changes |

Why does this happen?
In PCM, a lot of championships are not in the base game and have been added by the Expansion Pack. This is, for example, the case for the British championships, or the Norwegian ones. The base game does therefore have some hardcoded lines about simulating them in each career and generating a winner. This all happens on a certain date.
If that date comes after the time the newly added NCs are scheduled to take place, then the game will overwrite the results of the 3D-raced ones with the isimulated championships.

Could someone explain how to use Jdownloader to download the file please. I've been trying to download for a couple days now. It usually estimates 2 hours, but I've left it overnight and have got to about 18%.

It's probably not a real bug and probably not DB-related, but I had a very weird experience in the Tour of the Alps.
This was literally the first breakaway of the race, and naturally it meant an incredibly fast-ridden stage that still ended with a breakaway win.
In the other four stages, there was at least one, most of the time two Top 10 riders from the GC in the first break, which again meant a "peloton" size of less than a dozen with still over 100km to go each time.
I've never seen this kind of behavior in another stage race. 80+ mountain riders in early breakaways once might be a coincidence, but five times in a row (and not due to a bad GC placement, but as actual win favorites)?

@cio, there's a possibility it might have to do with the conversion of the stage file itself if that variant wasn't already in the base game (I can't really check right now), could you try and see if the same happens in one-off race mode with the same TotA variant and/or with different ones?

Hello guys,
I already downloaded and extracted the program files (steps 1 and 2 in the installation guide). However, I'm having issues with step 3; "Extract the content of the "Documents" folder inside your Documents folder. Generally, that's going to be C:\Users\*YOUR_USERNAME*\Documents, but otherwise you should be able to find it yourself pretty easily. When you're asked to overwrite/merge, press on 'yes'".
I have no contents that could be extracted from the documents folder...
What did I do wrong?

You don't need to extract anything from the Documents folder. You need to extract the content of the 'Documents' folder inside of the PCM 17 folder you have in your documents.
EDIT: I know this post sounds confusing  I highlighted when I talk about the folder in the archive in red and when I talk about the one already on your PC in green.

And if you don't have a Pro Cycling Manager 2017 folder in Documents, open and close PCM once. It will create the folder. |

Thanks for your response. However my point is that there is nothing that can be extracted inside the Documents folder you the database files. There's only a Pro Cycling Manager 2017 folder and a desktop.ini. should i reinstall the database again?

I don't get it then. So you download the archive containing the database and all, which should contain two folders 'Program Files' and 'Documents', and inside of documents you only see 'Pro Cycling Manager 2017' and desktop.ini? That's normal though, because inside of Pro Cycling Manager 2017 you should see another folder called Mod. What you should do is literally just extract Pro Cycling Manager 2017 inside of your My Documents folder on your PC.

What's happening is simply that your CT team schedule won't show every single race in the database, but only the ones you're allowed to ask a wild-card for. Evidently, the game rates Algarve too high for your team and doesn't even bother letting you ask for a spot in the race, plus your (African I think going off the sponsor) focus isn't suited for a Portuguese race.

The game is right those are the real life rules.
Your team is Continental.
Continental teams aren't allowed to apply for .HC category races in europe unless they are from the same country.
To be allowed to apply for Algarve your team would have to be portuguese or pro continental
This is only for European .HC races. In other continents every team can apply for .HC races. |
