Bikex is working on the rest of the profiles and the race selection file. There should be an update when it's ready.

Race Selection Files:

Please download the Race selection file for the division your team is in and follow the following steps. Managers with also a development team will also have to download one for the U23 team.
Here you can also find a file with the calendar in it: https://www.mediafire.com/download/545...endar.xlsx

How does the file work?
#1 Put your team ID in L1. You find your team ID in table teams.
#2 Select the races you want to take part in by putting an "X" in column F next to the race.
#3 It is possible to finish with up to 5 more or less race days used than the required amount.
#4 Copy columns H, where it also says PM and send them to me in a PM.

WT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/file/e51q26...ionWT.xlsx

WT teams have 225 race days of which they already spend 180 on WT races. The rest will be in CT. The teams have the option to ride up to 15 CT.2 racedays. Restrictions for riders riding in CT races can be read here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1188170 at point #3.

CT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ha1rbr...ionCT.xlsx

CT teams have 175 race days which will majorly be used on CT.1 and CT.2 races. They are also allowed to apply for wildcards for WT races. But the WT races they apply for aren't allowed to have more than 50 racedays combined.

U23 Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/file/37ihup...onU23.xlsx

U23 teams have 90 race days. They don't have to ride all U23 races. But at least 40 of their race days has to be filled up with U23 races. The rest of the races will be spent in CT. Mostly in CT.2 though, as they are not allowed to ride more than 20 CT.1 race days. They are also not allowed to take part in two clashing races. CT.2 races are already put on the calendar the way they don't clash with U23 races, but when assigning CT.1 races, you have to take care.

To those who missed it the race profiles can be found here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=49157
Some races are still missing, I'll add them during the week.

Any questions? Post them here. If too many teams apply for one race I'll decide who gets accepted based on various factors.

Important notice for everyone: Usually I want you to send me PMs in table format. This time please don't do that. Just copy the PM column and paste it without any formation into the Message Box. If you put it in table brackets the 0s will be removed meaning I won't get your race selections correctly.

Are we totally free to pick the races we want? Or is there any "locks" on either the CT.1 or CT.2 races? Like a HC?

As a CT team, applying for wildcards for the WT is simply selecting the race in the race selection? With my British team I'll apply for the only British WT race, the University of Lincoln GP.

@Hillis: As far as I can tell there are no restrictions.

Same Races as last season, same points as last season. Still working on rewards.

Yes, for CT Teams you are free to choose. For U23 Teams WT is not allowed of course. For WT teams there is the max. 15 CT.2 race days restriction and the stat restrictions.

This year only the WT rankings count to next year budget? If yes, whats the gaining from entering CT races?

I have a question for Bikex: In the calendar you only added "-2 stages" or "+1 mountain stage" for races with the wrong number of stages, are you going to visually change them? For example, which two stages will you drop from the Austria Tour?

@krisa: Being a newbie I can only guess, but I imagine previously it was too tempting for WT teams to send some of their best riders to the CT for "easy" points. Now you'll probably only send your weaker riders into the CT or maybe do some role-playing, send your men to your home races. And there are still prestige points to be picked up, it just won't affect the budget.

Actually, most teams always send their squad to the WT. Race days are limited and World Tour is just that much more lucrative. I don't predict too much change in race selection.

Good to ask me, I was the previous four seasons in CT, Compared to last season I am now a WT squad so I will send my leaders to WT races (maybe Giro del Trentino for Aru) But I still have to look how good the opposition is in some other races.

If I was the manager of your team, I would certainly grab the chances in the CT grand tours like Tour de Suisse, Portugal and Colombia(which is one of the greatest races) with Fuglsang. Try some things with Poels in somy Hilly races. Both with a small amount of WT races where you want to show your colors (and where you do expect some lesser competion)

Never forget Fuglsang being part of the Leopard CTGT domination squad.

Thanks for the tips, krisa. There seem to be a lot of races to choose from for a CT team, a bit overwhelming. I'm not sure I can do the race selection fully knowing which rider will race where, but definitely Fuglsang will captain some of the big CT stage races. And I will only apply for the one British WT race, Lincoln is too close to our home base Norwich to not attend.

@croatia: I didn't know Fuglsang's history when I signed him, I only thought I was paying him way too much. But now that I know his past my expectations in him have risen considerably. Still, possibly he won't win anything, but I hope for consistently good GC results.

You should definitely check out the final CT rankings of ICL16 Wink Also promoted Specialized in 2017 (if only the would've stayed) - You got an awesome rider in him!

I'm sorry to ask... I was never thinking about WT wild cards, but are those 175 days for CT including those 50 days If I'll decide to ride some WT races? So then it is like 125 + 50 in WT?

hillis91
175 total for you to use, and you can choose to use 50 of thoose 175 for WT races? right?

Definitely.

If my math is right, with just 18 men even 175 race days are a lot. If you want 8 riders to participate in every race, that's 0.44 of your squad in every race, times 175 makes 77.8 race days per rider. Most riders riders don't have that many race days available, especially not the top riders. Expect to send weak teams and/or less riders to some races.

I did my maths, and if you can send 8-men squads to every race, with 175 RD you need to have between your riders 1400 RDs to be able to send a full-squad to every race. My riders total RDs are 1453, so i'll be fine
