So incredibly excited for this race, with Kratochvila and RVH, it maybe possible for us to pull of something crazy, but I'm definitely expecting a duel between chaves and van der hugenhaben.
Also, it's super interesting to see Phillip Gaimon in this race, he won it for us in our inaugural race 2 years ago and hasn't had any stat drops, yet now he's literally 5 hill rating lower than the CT's best puncheur. Cool to see how the CT has developed in the last few years |

Obviously rooting for our friends at In-n-Out even if it's mainstream and without one of our riders being here.

Fine racing and report as well.
Cool win for Xero, Roux is off to a good season, I guess. Some notable results by Haavardsholm in particular and RvdH, though missing the win, proved that he can live up to his role as the favorite.

Striking start to the season, it'll be a tough fight for those promotion places
Not overly impressed with our hilly depth, though clearly Hollenstein was used up chasing down the initial attackers. Vichot was solid enough, I'll certainly take a 6th to kick off the season with such a strong field around him. Really looking forward to our next race at Vuelta al Tachira.
Thanks for the report, Trek, brilliant as always!

Phew! My heartbeat doubled reading those last few paragraphs. What a report! What a result! What a race!

Anthony Roux! Strava spirit taken over to Xero! Outstanding work. Also great to see Anton with that amount of influence on the race, old fella did his first glance of what he still has in him.

Three in the top 30 is better than I was expecting. 11th for Wyss is also better than what I was expecting despite the HQ hype
Congrats Jandal . Roux hypeeee!!
Edit: Also 5 in top 50 and Ruijgh 51st
Hopefully Bardet gets to be better than 4th best on the hills and this is just early season rustiness!

Cool to see a former rider winning. He was part of my first PT season but was clearly not good enough for this division, while also in PCT he lacks a bit meanwhile.
Hence great to see him getting the results now in CT add his stats should see a decent palmares. |

Yayayayay Anthony Roux you beautiful man Amazing performance in the last kilometres, was super worried when we didn't push the four-man move but he was so strong it didn't matter Also Antón performed amazingly with a big contribution in a race day filler for him, two fantastic debuts! I don't even care how trash diggle was Amazing report trek, very entertaining and well-written way to kick us off in CT!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Wow! What an amazing race to start the season! Great report trek!
First, great result for Gilbert . 7th is something i could expect but still great.
Next, Valverde He is really old, but he still got it. Amazing perfomance from the BotD to give us a few valuable points.
A bit disappointed with Cunego's and Agostini's perfomances . I mean, they were in the 25-rider group with 30 km to the end, and then none of them finished in the top25
And congrats to jandal in the deserved win!

Thanks for report, trek, and thanks Aquarius for that list showing we scored no points |

Not what we came here for but a top 10 is enough to secure our first goal of the season. Terrible performance from Pellaud great stuff from Gaimon. First goal of the season marked of the board.

A nice to the CT season. Good report, i like to see Xero winning and i won a MG bet for once
If Kratochvilla will be this strong throughout the season then vd Hugenhaben is going to have (the expected) huge season for sure!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I'll take this start to the season, didn't come here full strength, still came away with a decent result. Obviously would have liked to see Chaves stay away at the end and take the solo win, but can't be upset with this either.

Disappointing to see my whole team miss that 25 man group, but Hugentobler did well to come back to a 23rd place finish to make sure we don't go home empty handed out of this one.
Definitely not the result we hoped for but given the circumstances mid race we will take it and try to learn from our mistakes and position our riders better in the future.
