In another strange, but seemingly more common move in Portugal, Yuri Trofimov will race for RP Boavista in 2018.
Not so strange, he will join Egor Silin, his ex-teammate.

In terms of the Portuguese reality, it's an odd move, though considering we have had Nocentini and Silin join our teams in the past (maybe add David de la Fuente) it has become something common and maybe natural for us. We could have given Txurruka a ride this season too, but never it never got to happen.
Now in terms of other transfer news, Matti Breschel returns to the A+ grades of Vaughters's Education First. |

Nathan Earle to Cycling Academy
He has done a very good year, 2nd of the Tour of Japan, 8th of the Herald Sun Tour and 11th of the Tour Down Under.
It's a good way to replace Aberasturi and Earle. I'm a bit disappointed for Kreder, who has done a decent season, but Rompoot is full of young talents.

Is already announced where Aberasturi goes? Surely a decent PCT asset.

Vinokurov will seek damages from Fabio Aru, following the Italian's move to UAE - Emiraites. According to Vino "Aru didn't tell him that he'd leave, thus Vino was unable to find an replacement in time"

Dayer Quintana extended his contract another year with Movistar, no new rumours about Nairo's next expedition outside the Spanish team until mid 2018 I'm guessing. |

Astana are currently considering signing Nairo for 2019 if he falls out with Movistar and Landa. After losing Aru (with whom Vino would have legal dispute over a contract clause; Carlo Sarroni from UAE said that nothing wrong was done) the team is lacking a GT leader. They've considered signing Uran in the wake of Slipstream's sponsorship crisis, but Rigo remained loyal to Vaughters and snubed his pal Vino.
If Nairo has bad 2018 I don't see him in any other team but Astana at that point.

Axeon Hagens Berman have signed the Portuguese talent João Almeida, who rode for Unieuro this year. He's a emerging talent that can become the next big (Portuguese) thing in a few seasons, really happy to see him make this move. |

Cool, Axeon Hagens Berman is a great place for young talents to develop. Speakin of Axeon, hoping Adrien Costa is returning to cycling start of the year. On instagram he has last been spotted enjoying some autumn bliss in Europe.
With Aru gone from Astana, I really hope that MAL has no injuries. Otherwise, he will breakthrough with a GT podium for sure.

He will join his ex-teammate Raymond Kreder. Apparently, he was thinking about retirement before Ukyo's offer.

I've actually raced against him last year but I had no idea that he'd go so far so quick, he certainly has an enormous potential and he's in the best team to evolute even more

Really? That's very interesting. He'll turn 20 next year, I think it's the best move for him right now to mature as a rider and flourish his capacities the most. Hopefuly in 2/3 years time he can make the jump into the WT if everything seems to go as expected. |

It is indeed! Axeon has launched inumerous riders directly onto WorldTour and even though it's a development team, it is currently (2018) in PCT and scores a big number of wins. Plus he gets to race with many other enormous talents and of course the Oliveira twins.
