Burgos-BH have also confirmed the arrival of several other riders, including Jordi Simon, Jesus Ezquerra, Diego Rubio, Nicolas Sessler and Victor Langellotti (first rider with a Monegasque licence to ride in the PCT for the first time?) |

Really surprised to see how good Burgos is doing with transfers so far. At this point, a WC for La Vuelta is almost guaranteed

Is Loubet of basque heritage or is Euskadi Murias not strict on that?

He rode as an amateur in the French Basque Country, part of his cycling development was in that region, even though he was born in Toulouse. |

Riders without a contract next season - most of them could join the retirement club soon, but there are still relatively top and midcard riders (sorry for the wrestling terminology here) who have no rides yet for 2018 and are IMO the hottest free agents. Here are the 70 World Tour riders (according to PCS) without a contract:

Moreno was rumoured to go to "Cannondale" (EF Education First... blablabla)
Most of those Sky riders (Kiryienka, Moscon, Wisniowski, Puccio) will re-sign with Sky.
Quite obvious that Antonio Nibali will continue in Barhain. Also riders like Visconti or Pellizotti should continue in Barhain as they haven't signed almost nobody
Rohan Dennis as well in BMC, like Teuns
The future of Dayer Quintana will show us where Nairo will ride in the future. If Dayer signs for Astana as rumoured, 2018 should be his last season with Movistar

If Nairo goes to Astana in 2019, it would be a huge coup for Vinokurov since he lost Aru. But what would happen with Miguel Angel Lopez, who had fantastic Vuelta this season?

Almost nobody? Hello, did you forget that they've signed Pozzovivo, Mohoric and Gorka Izagirre, who are solid names?

I meant in terms of number of riders. Currently they have 22 confirmed riders for 2018. They would need at least 3-4 more

If Rally Cycling does get a PCT license, I could see Lawson Craddock and Alexey Vermeulen ride for them. They are the best American team in the peloton, aside from the WT ones, and have some great mentality too. |

Mikkel Bjerg signs with Axeon Hagens Berman. Let him school the Americans how to ride the chronos properly.
Incredible signing the Danish is, one of the biggest Time Trial prospects in the world right now. I can see him being one of the best chrono guys outside the World Tour next year even, though he is not quite Madsen yet.

Eduard Prades has joined Euskadi Basque Country Murias as perhaps the team's most interesting signing for 2018. |

In another strange, but seemingly more common move in Portugal, Yuri Trofimov will race for RP Boavista in 2018. |

What about Jakub Mareczko? He steadily has been landing (smaller) victories and PCS doesn't mention any contract for next year.

In terms of pure speed definitely a Top10 Sprinter on the planet right now. Not in his allround game though.

I guess Wilier will give him 1-year contract for 2018. It's near certainty that Wilier and Androni would be at the Giro and for Mareczko and the team it'd be wise to be together for another year.
But stranger things had happened - he could go to any team. From Aqua Blue or Israel Cycling Academy to EF Education First - Drapac.
Speaking of Slipstream, they haven't sign that much - only 4 new riders compared to 13 outgoing! I know that the 2018 season would be transitional (like 2017 was for UAE) before funding gets serious for 2019, but there are some free agents that could be a huge assets for the team.
