Cyclingnews.com says: The television cameras captured the horrifying crash of Laurens De Plus (Quick-Step Floors) on the descent of the Sormano in Il Lombardia on Saturday, but missed three more incidents of riders falling into the same ravine.
According to the race's medical report, Simone Petilli (UAE Team Emirates), Jan Bakelants (AG2R La Mondiale) and Daniel Martinez (Wilier Triestina), were more seriously injured than De Plus, who was treated in the Cantù hospital for contusions to his right knee and quickly released.
Info about Bakelants: https://www.cyclis...-bakelants
"After an x-ray and CT scan, the following injuries have been detected: Seven rib fractures, though without any impact on the lungs. A compression-fracture of the first lumbar vertebra and the third lumbar vertebra, the latter of which will require additional examination. An MRI will be carried out tomorrow." |

Benoot > Moscon.
Less racial slurs, less accusations of being responsable for other rider's crashes
and less performances like an Androni rider with an expiring contract.
Oh and less riding for British Postal. |

Well, British Postal only refers really to the GT's (Tour and sometimes Vuelta). Considering that, he has only had 1 ever race with British Postal which equates to not that much racing albeit it a GT. His riding style is really classy and doesn't mind an attack which creates for something different in the Sky line-up, which could be interesting for future classics.
I guess his maturing process is taking longer than expected, but I am sure he will be fine sooner rather than later, surrounded by a solid group of professional lads. |

Really looking forward seeing Soren Kragh Andersen in the future, seems to have grown a lot in the classics field. |

Well, look at the competition (aside from Theuns), this is not a WT worthy peloton.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I refer to the fact that the classic results are listed, not that it's their typical level of performance.

And Theuns isn't even the second fastest sprinter. He got his second places from great positioning. A shame that UAE doesn't allow Kump to sprint for himself, beneath a Theuns on form the only rider that should be able to challenge Bennett.

Diego making things too Ulizi in Turkey.
Also, a World Tour race with Masnada on the podium, Godoy and Arslanov on the top-10, what is this. (not questioning their quality, I recognize some interesting potential) |
