Welcome to my preview of the 2017 ManGame Continental Division Rider Rankings. Before starting off with the preview, I would like to explain how I’ll be presenting it and the methodology for arriving at the predictions.

I have come up with something called the ‘Coefficient Rankings’ which is the basis for all the rankings. These rankings have been made on six attributes for the riders – Stage Races, Climbing, Punchers, Sprinting, Cobbles and Time Trialing – using certain formulae for calculation.

They are explained below…

Stage Races – Using MO, HIL, TT and a certain combination of some other stats
Climbing – Using MO, HIL and a certain combination of other stats
Punchers – Using HIL, ACC and a certain combination of other stats
Sprinting – Using SP, ACC and a certain combination of other stats
Cobbles – Using COB, SP and a certain combination of other stats
Time Trial – Using TT, PRL and a certain combination of other stats

This was used to come up with individual ratings for all riders. Please note, I have not taken potential planning decisions into account.

There are a total of 421 riders in the CT, including loan-ins and stagiares. I am posting the top 50, and highlighting the top 10, in each discipline.

I assume is because as Bille is so complete, the formula rates him high if you count every terrain for "the best rider". Same reason why Tvetcov is considered the best rider when he barely jumps inside the top10 in stage races and climbers

Amazing analysis Abhishek, throws up some interesting talking points, some very straightforward like effects of backups and second terrains and some more important and complex such as why Kruopis' managers never send him on a part hill schedule since he's so good
