TT aside, Bardet is a stunning rider for CT inflation or not, good backups and great acc/hill. Should be an interesting wildcard at any mountain race, but also a real contender Kreder and Grabovski are also good buys, setting up a very very good squad here

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Such a stunning team. Probably my favourite CT team already. I love your choice of riders with everyone being very versatile and strong on multiple terrains. Awesome transfer season for you!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Had Bardet on my initial shortlist, but he quickly outgrew my bidding region. Very nice pickup you've got there, will be interesting to see how he performs on the hills and mountains in the CT! He should be more than good enough to score you some hefty chunks of points

@Jandal: Witnessing the kinds of climbers that were being picked up by CT teams, we decided that we had to go all out on Bardet. Hoping that the good combination of stats gives him us an advantage in races. Also very happy with the wages for which we were able to pick up Kreder and Grabovski
@Knockout: Well, thank you Knockout. Coming from one of the managers we follow with a lot of interest, that is definitely good motivation. The choice of targeting all-rounders was a conscious one given how competitive the CT peloton has become. Hopefully, this strategy works out for the best.
@Booker: We'll need all of Bardet's strength and guile if we are to compete well with the team that you have amassed on the climbs and otherwise! We really had to get him otherwise we would have been in serious trouble. Hopefully this investment is a good one not just for 2017, but going ahead as well.

You're assembling a fantastic team, piece by piece. A force to be reckoned with in CT this season, for sure.

The Flanking Attack Launched | Transfer Update Part 5
"The Future in Motion" Moving on from our leader captures, we now move on to announcing a couple of riders who will play a strong supporting role this season. We expect their contributions to be just as important.
Maris Bogdanovics | Leadout
Age: 26 | Wage: 50,000 | Fee: 100,000
Michel Kreder is no longer lonely in our sprint train. After scouring the market for a leadout rider, losing out in the bidding for a couple and the entire Van Poppel fiasco, we struck gold when our friends at Evonik - Elko accepted our offer. It took some convincing to pry a Latvian rider out of a Latvian team, but eventually a deal was agreed. The fees we paid for him is decent, his wage is excellent and he still has a good many years left to ride. A winning combination.

Marcel Wyss | Puncheur
Age: 31 | Wage: 55,000
Marcel Wyss will be the leader of our hilly races unless something changes going ahead. The experienced Swiss rider is a perfect fit in our climbing department. Boasting a strong acceleration and stamina stat, expect this man to be attacking a lot at the head of races this season.
In his former team Saab - Scania (now Spotify - Haglöfs), Wyss picked up a win against the odds at the Criterium Hainleite, in a stacked field. We are hoping for more of the same this season.

Two more nice riders I would have liked in my team as well. Sadly I had to give away Bogdanovics because he didn't fit into this year's plans but I'm very glad to see him in an interesting CT team. Can't wait to see how he delivers for you

@Aquarius: Coming up against the leader strengths of some of the CT teams, I had to look for something different. It will be a great challenge to go up against you though
@Knockout: We have high hopes, and we are quietly confident

Thanks Tamijo . Building an all-round team was the target from the start.

Call in the Light Combat Aircraft | Transfer Update Part 6
"The Future in Motion" We are not focusing on talent development this season but when our friends from Slovenia came calling with a loan offer to develop one of their riders, we could not refuse.
David Per | Future Prospect | Loaned In
Age: 22 | Wage: 100,000 | Compensation: 100,000
In my home country, there is an indigenous aircraft called 'Tejas' (meaning Radiant) that has been sanctioned for deployment and is one of the lightest combat aircrafts in the world. It's specialty is it's maneuverability and dependability. David Per reminds us exactly of that! Just 22, and with an immense future ahead of him, Per is already a capable domestique in the cobbles and the flats. The wage is justified by his potential and we didn't mind the nifty compensation package which came with his development focus. We hope we can make his owners, Isostar - Adriatic, happy at the end of the season.

It's a pleasure to have Per at your team. His stats remind a lot of a certain Mr. Novardianto, who did outstanding in breakaways. With Pers useful addition that he can already be a force in the best cobbled setups of the CT as well as surviving hills and pacing hard in the flat.
He could directly have a scoring impact, and I hope by heart that he does. Very cool introduction by the way

If Per can do some of the things Novardianto did last season, we'd be delighted. Offcourse it's not all about results with him.
I'm glad you liked the intro

Per is a special rider with great stats that'll serve you well already. We'll see if he can hit the heights of Jams but anything is possible even in his neo pro season for a guy like Per

Keeping our fingers crossed and hopes high. What else can we do in the Man-Game?

The Heavy Artillery Arrives | Transfer Update Part 7
"The Future in Motion"
Alexander Krieger | Sprint Leader
Age: 26 | Wage: 80,000
Our first German rider completes our sprinting line-up. Alexander Krieger arrives from Pro Tour team Aegon Lavazza in a deal worth 150,000, having spent every season of his MG career with them so far. He will be our weapon in the flat sprints complementing Kreder who will lead the team in hilly sprints. The duo, together with Bogdanovics as their leadout, plus the supporting cast of flat specialists are expected to do quite well in the CT. At just 26 years of age, he still has a long way to go in his professional career.
Stats OVL | FLA | MON | HIL | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SPR | ACC | FTR | DHI | PRL | 74.01 | 71 | 58 | 62 | 55 | 71 | 74 | 75 | 63 | 79 | 79 | 62 | 68 | 55 |
Enrico Battaglion | Mountain Leader
Age: 28 | Wage: 90,000
Adding depth and quality to our mountain train is Italian rider Enrico Battaglin. At a very reasonable wage, we feel this could be one of our signings of the season. Capable of leading a race on his own as well as being a super-domestique for Bardet, Battaglin fits in to our mountain train like the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle. Decent hill and support stats might see him do well in different kinds of races.
Stats OVL | FLA | MON | HIL | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SPR | ACC | FTR | DHI | PRL | 73.76 | 67 | 77 | 72 | 58 | 69 | 72 | 67 | 50 | 62 | 70 | 66 | 72 | 58 |
