Contador is one from the best Climbers. Today is very good evidence. I give you 81 /2 Mountains.
On-day stats Denifl need 85 mountain - iker321 logic!
Edit:
Just realized its only my second post in 10 years.
I am just a quiet reader normally but Arberg27 seems to make me post every few years. Second post, second time I quoted him.
Edit2: To put some content into this post:
I think Contador deserves 81 MO and a higher REC value.
75 is just too low. He pretty much attacked every day at the last half of the Vuelta and still had enough energy to win on the Angliru. 3 points worse compared to Froome doesn't look realistic. Froome was saving more energy by hiding behind his teammates but still AC looked fresher. I feel like if the Vuelta continued for another week, AC would have won it.

Contador: The current Contador stats are actually pre-Vuelta that you see on the spreadsheet the only rider that hasn't got any adjustment for the Vuelta as I made a note to do him after the last mtn stage. He'll either be 80-81 mtn with backup stats higher once again. It needs to be remembered that he was actually decreased by universal cries from here that he should be and for once we decided to listen to the general opinion for a rider. It seems though that he was actually nearer to the stats that we originally had him. Basically he's a rider over the last few years that has been plagued by bad luck because when he rides without any external problems he's still one of the best. Also Vuelta is in his fav race list so that will be another booster
Woods: His final stats are being discussed but I think he will be 77 mtn 78 hill the classic example of a rider that hangs in there for three weeks in a GT like Meintjes at Tour and Hirt at Giro. These riders need good rec to do so and Woods has some very good rec now. In the future he could possibly next season go to 78/79 as I think he's a better hill climber than mtn but who knows how he will progress, if of course he does progress.
Contador became no. 4 in Vuelta and no. 9 in Tour, but he is a pensioner and is not going to be included.
A rider who wins Tour and Vuelta that year, should be a whole lot better than all the others, especially on TT! 1 more than Porte, 2 more then Contador, Nibali etc is totally laughing, he smashes them every time on TT.

What Arberg is not considering is that 1) we are gradually decreasing TT stats for GT contenders as they perform way too well in tt at GT's and hopefully soon we will get the correct combo 2) Froome is the best all round GT rider based on stats 3) Easily has the best team, hell we have to be careful that his own team with too high stats don't fill the podium positions at a GT 4) If I had to pick a rider in game to win GT's with I'd pick Sky everytime from the DB.
Froome should be the best BUT not levels above the others. This year he relied more on his team than ever before. I'd say he's probably got one more great year in him to win a 5th Tour anything after that will be a huge achievement

And yesterday mountains etape? Contador have very good form in the Vuelta (if i do not see start, when he was ill. ) In Tdf was 9. and Vuelta is 4. in general classification. Young riders will by up their skills, but Contador has hight age. Denifl has good one etape, but Contador was good last year and he attack in every etaps. Alberto is Legends and cycling after leaving will be boring. This is my opinion.
What needs to be kept in mind is the big picture here.
For example Quintana and Chaves have had a bad year but their good results from 2016 are still valid for the current DB. If they continue with this kind of form into the 2018 season that is when they would face a downgrade.
Contador gets 80 because he is so often hit by bad luck and crashes that 80 makes him valid. Furthermore he has improved backup stats and the Vuelta is in his fav race and in my recent testing fav race has a marked impact on riders that have it. So therefore if we take Aru as an 80 comparison he now has no fav races which reflects his unpredictability rather than his actual ability, making a rider like Contador a better 80 for the Vuelta .
Other riders like TVG get 78 because they are very good week GC riders and have low rec and also a rider like MA Lopez will fall into this example, making them dubious for GT's.
So in a nutshell the main mtn stat for these riders is just one part of their ability as all the backup and fav races make another impact. We plan for next season to really work on weather and temperature options as well for the riders as we feel along with fav races that this will also have an impact on how riders will perform.
We often as players criticize the game AI but if truth be told there are some very good AI aspects of the game that need to be considered and exploited like weather and fav races

Contador must be 81/82 in Mountain depends of the other riders stats
Can you put the currently Top Riders in Mountain???
82 : Froome, Porte, Quintana
81 : Bardet, Landa, Nibali
80 : Aru, Chaves, Contador, Pinot, Uran, Zakarin
79 : Barguil, T. Dumoulin, Fuglsang, Kruijswijk, M. A. Lopez, Majka, D. Martin, Mollema, Poels, Pozzovivo, Valverde, A. Yates
78 : I. Izagirre, Kelderman, Meintjes, Nieve, Thomas, van Garderen, S. Yates
You can have more informations by doing a Ctrl + A on the spreadsheet linked on the first page and doing a Ctrl + C on an Excel file.
I am not so sure about Porte (82). How does he deserve the highest value? He crashed out early in the Tour and couldn't really show his full potential.
I would give him 80 oder 81 maybe.

You point out a problem coming from Porte's performances in GTs, and not from Porte's performances in climbing. He has only 74 REC compared to Froome's 78 REC and Quintana's 82 REC. Nibali has 83, Bardet has 81, Landa has 80. It is a big gap. He also has less STA than the other leaders. He will have an advantage on them during small tours, and, in GTs, this advantage will be reduced in the second week, and reversed in the third week (approximately).

Porte - Romandie ? And Quintana ? Yes good...

How can a man, that has never ended on the podium in a GT, have the same, as a man, there every year wins TDF...
Lmao has someone taught you you can edit your posts instead of deleting them and reposting them everytime you want to slightly alter your shitposting?
This is the 5th time you post and delete this kind of post, I just picture you staring at the same screen for 30 minutes thinking what to say and wasting your time
