Tour de France (2.UWT) Stage 7/21, 185.9 kms
Moser, Roelandts and Battaglin were today's escapees. A strong trio that got nothing but the chance to gather bonuses for their respective teams. A high pace on bumpy roads knocked our sprinters out of contention; the man in green had to pursue when Dimension Data's train took the upper hand. Ewan had an incredible leadout man in dual stage victor Bouhanni. Coquard had the fastest sprint, but Ewan took full benefit of his previous advantage. Third for the green jersey with Cavendish coming in between. Ruben safely stayed in the pack ahead of tomorrow's big, long time trial. Tour de France 2019 (2.UWT) Stage 8/21, 52km ITT
The first GC contenders showdown learned us quite a lot. Ruben caught up with the rider ahead of him to set the provisional 3rd time. Former young rider leader Adrien Costa had the fastest time until Thibaut Pinot showed off that he is ready for his second GT of the year. Only Wilco Kelderman managed to do even better.
When time trial specialists such as Phinney, Talansky, Malori found their way into the top 10, Ruben would eventually drop down to 17th. That is gaining time on Contador, Aru, Formolo, Quintana, Meintjes, Bardet and especially Landa, who'd lose little under 7'40" to the well-deserved winner of this demanding time trial.
That winner was Tom Dumoulin. He made sure that the yellow jersey remains on Movistar shoulders, partially due to Dowsett's offday. There's a new white jersey as well, our very own Ruben Guerreiro. A big milestone for him and our team. Wow! Incredible time gaps. Is Dumoulin strong in mountains, or this career was started before his transformation into a GC rider?
Also a suggestion. Why don't you put Ruben's GC place, although he is outside top10. I think it would be good to know where he is and how much time he needs to recover

Dumoulin is a solid climber but not good enough to compete for the podium. If he's able to hang on long enough he might finish high though, thanks to the other 50+ km ITT (stage 20).
I'd love to share Guerreiro's current GC spot but I'm quite far beyond this point in-game, so there's no way to know where he was after the TT. As far as I recall, he was 30-40th only, due to the flat course and double time trial so far.
EDIT:
I see now that I did include his GC spot in the next posts.
Sure.

Tour de France (2.UWT) Stage 9/21, 172.7 kms
Navardauskas, Vakoc, Roelandts and Moser were given a gap just ahead of the first sprint. None of these men stood close enough in the mountain standings to be a threat. That way all climbs, including Mûr de Bretagne, became a matter of gaining money once more. These four got caught on the last straight in Lorient, the Breton 'City of Five Ports' on the Atlantic. Carlos' position already gives it away: we were not involved in the sprint at all. None of our 9 men even managed to finish inside the stage top 40. Felline, Coquard's last leadout, came too the fore strongly. Bouhanni was playing catch-up meanwhile in a try to deliver Dimension's man in Ewan. Coquard faced the wind a bit too early as Ewan had to close a gap before his final kick. Matthews silently followed in Ewan's slipstream. With some hundreds of meters to go, Marcel Kittel was not to be counted yet either. It's Matthews who eventually takes advantage of the others' non-flawless last km. The Australian bagged a TDF stage for the 3rd consecutive year. Ugh still not favorable to the team. 4 minutes is already a heavy bag of time before the mountains start. Of course it depends more on the gap to the top climbers. Are they within some proximity to Ruben? Also, is Wilco a dark horse maybe?

Well the top 20 still stuffed with flat and time trial specialists, so if Ruben has a good day on the first mountain stage lots of them will drop way down.
Bar Kelderman and Pinot, all contenders (Landa, Contador, Formolo, Aru, Bardet, Quintana, Barguil, Pardo) are behind on Ruben after the time trial.
If you ask me the two mentioned first are big favorites with another long ITT on the schedule. Both have podiumed le Tour and won the white jersey before, yet Kelderman has also won a GT (la Vuelta 2017) and he's also won P-N and PaÃs Vasco this year.

Tour de France (2.UWT) Stage 10/21, 169 kms
L'Histoire du Quatorze Juillet The flattish course still inspired 6 riders to a breakaway: Battaglin, Roux, Haas, Roelandts, Stybar and GC 10th Paillot. At each intermediate sprint, we witnessed Marcel Kittel gaining a handful of points on Bryan Coquard. Gonçalves was dropped from the bunch with 10 km to the finish. In the same group sat Mühlberger and Aru too! Not exactly where you'd expect to see the PaÃs Vasco and Romandie winner. Aru suffers a time loss of 6'. Three kms to go, and Stybar decided the time to play his card had come. Paillot's earlier try hadn't been strong enough, but the Czech did create a gap. A chasing peloton still had to make up a promising 1'09" difference. MartÃnez gave his best to deliver Barbero but he couldn't take him any further than the second row. Stybar remained out front in the meantime. Stybar was out of reach for both sprinters and once companions. He won his 2nd ever GT stage ahead of Roelandts and RuralvÃa signing Battaglin. Matthews won the bunch sprint for 4th, Carlos came home in 14th place. White jersey competition looks solid for Ruben, that goal of the race at least should be well, almost easy within reach.

Not the hardest -25 field tbh, yet so many other things can still happen. Let's hope tiredness, lack of experience in this race or offdays don't kick in. If they don't things look very good indeed, which allows us to maybe revise our goals.

Have been waiting for this a long time, hopefully Ruben doesn't suffer from the TVG post rest day syndrome.

Guerreiro should be a favourite for the White Jersey now. With his favoured profiles coming up, the only way should be up for him in the GC!

Tour de France (2.UWT) Stage 11/21, 189.3 kms
Eder bridged to the 8-man breakaway on the 3rd cat. Col d'Osquich. He steamed up right away and joined the strongest climbers on the descent. The peloton did not give the break too much space so Eder felt the need to speed up. As their group was being thinned on the .HC Col de Soudet, their advantage over the bunch was still being limited to just about 2'40". Eder didn't react when Esteban Chaves and Darwin Atapuma sprinted for mountain points. Even ahead of the top, Eder would soon pass the latter and catch up with Chaves going downhill. Only 3 men ahead of the pack. Eder and Chaves did not look back, and tackled the 1st cat. Col de Marie Blanque with a very alive hope of winning the stage. They still had 1'43". Pinot's attack was what made their hope vanish. Pinot quickly gained 30" on the steepest slopes near the summit. Landa, Quintana and Kelderman struggled to follow a chasing group with Contador, Dumoulin, Guerreiro. These three hit the descent, 1' behind Pinot. Kelderman came very close but couldn't catch up. Dumoulin was the main working force of the three. Ruben caught his breath at first but then he started taking turns as well. Soon as he did, Contador was in trouble! Pinot's gap shrunk to some 20". The catch was about to be happen; then Sagan appeared out of nowhere to fly by everyone. Guerreiro had to let go and had to chase on his own. Pinot and Poels were dropped as well, only leaving Dumoulin with Sagan. He rode to the line in Pau like a madman, could the race leader keep up? The answer was a clear 'no' as the Slovak put a minute between him and the yellow jersey to win this stage. Dumoulin, Poels came in 2nd and 3rd. White jersey Ruben passed his first mountain test and came 5th, gaining time on all GC contenders but Pinot, making a huge jump in the overalls. Tour de France (2.UWT) Stage 12/21, 198.2 kms
The breakaway group, which again included Eder, was already shattered on the .HC Col du Tourmalet. Riders like Vandenbergh, Helling, Le Boulch and Moser got dropped right away. Boswell, Atapuma, Elissonde kept up. Eder came second on the top, enough for a provisional polka dot jersey. Rejoining Elissonde, they had 11'17" over the pack with 4 major cols left. On the steep Col du Portillon, Elissonde took maximal points once again. Chávarri was gradually running out of steam and couldn't take his turns. Elissonde felt they were slowing down and left Eder behind with 20km to go. The pack had come closer: the Frenchman had his gap at 4'51" now. On the false flat ahead of the Plat de Beret ascent, his gap came down to 2'49". Eder kept the leader within sight, but was not closing in anymore. Ruben was still sitting close to the front, ready to hit that final difficulty. Quintana's attack was the first, 8km from the line. Nobody could respond right away, Ruben was keeping up with the race leader's Movistar Team. Thibaut Pinot bridged at his own pace. He then launched an attack when Quintana had caught Elissonde. Kelderman tried to go with them, Ruben could not be spotted on the camera images, the others seemed to let go. Lutsenko had a late reaction and bridged to Kelderman. While the duo of Pinot and Quintana rode away, Ruben and Dumoulin distanced the pack. Pinot extended his gap over Kelderman in the GC and took the stage too. Quintana got the same time, Kelderman limited his loss to less than 30". Dumoulin beat Ruben for 5th but the white jersey did gain another 1'20" on the other overall contenders. Pinot's made the best impression so far.
