i'm not that negative to sky and how they handle talents. They are one of the best to work on GC riders, just look at Porte who was a TT guy in Saxo. And i never believed in "project wiggins". Bernal is very young and can ride one year with no pressure then he can build up for the Giro and eventually take over for Froome in 3-4 years time.
More worried for Halvorsen considering he will most likely work with a team who has no record of developing sprinters, more the opposite if you look at EBH...

Yeah, Halvorsen might have picked the wrong team here..
Either way, maybe ride the Giro as sprinter w/no help in 1/2 years. Hopefully they leave him alone, and don't interfere like they did with EBH. They made him break ties with his Trainer, Fredrik Mohn. As soon as he went back to him, the results came back.

I understand Bernal going to Sky. Froome won't be around forever and soon they are going to need a new leader. Bernal could be a long term solution for that.
Halvorsen? Why would a sprinter go to Sky. Much less a young one that needs space to develop.

With Bernal as well it looks like Sky will just try to win everything there is for the next 15 years in the mountains
Good thing there is Gaudu then.

Sondre Holst Enger take a step down to PCT and Israel cycling academy along with one of the most promising Norwegian guys August Jensen. Also Calmejane and Sicard extended with Direct Energie.

Well this means that Brambilla, Capecchi, Martinelli and Vakoc will leave?

He said he has 25 riders under contract. Only 22 have been announced. 3 of those 4 probably have contracts |

Bet you it's the 3 italians and that Vakoc is leaving for Bora to search for Ardennes leadership. |

I won't rule out one of the Italians follow Trentin at Orica.
Vakoc to Bora? Makes no sense. They have Sagan and Majka for the classics

Vakoč is a rider for Ardennes classics. Sagan is usually not even on the starlist and Majka is not really a world beater in them and is way more suited for GTs. Vakoč to Bora is actually a great shout, in reality they have just Konrad for Ardennes.
I think Vakoč will just stay in Quick Step though as there are no real rumours around his future.

It could be Eros Capecchi : not the most useful Quick-Step's rider, far from his 2011-2012's level. He is mainly used on flat and hilly stages now. |

As for Bora I can't really see Sagan challenging for the Ardennes classics, he's going to be primarily focused on the cobbled classics but you never know with Sagan! Majka not really an Ardennes rider more of a mountain man. But I don't think Vakoc is the man either if they sign him. Struggles in hilly races with lots of kms like LBL and AG unless of course he's going to improve drastically in that for 2018.
