After several years of hunting for sponsors, Statoil stepped up and put money on the table. For what they hope will one day be, a dominant force in pro cycling. The goal for the team, is to bring talented young scandinavians to the biggest stages in the world of cycling. Mainly the team will focus on Norway and then outwards. With the addition of Mobil as co-sponsor, the United States of Amercia will also be a focus for the team in recruiting and racing. One of the biggest companies in Norway, Statoil, will bring big business analytics and smarts to the team - along side a big bag of money. Their goal for the partnership is to get positive PR, on a local and global level. Mobil, previously known as the Socony-Vacuum Oil Company, is a major American oil company which merged with Exxon in 1999 to form a parent company called ExxonMobil. As soon as Statoil came on board, the American company wanted to test the waters as co-sponsors. With an option to become a bigger part of the team later on. 7-Eleven joined as a minor sponsor to mainly ease their way back into pro cycling. They have, as Mobil, an option to become a bigger part of the team at a later stage. Rapha signed a 2 year deal to be the main clothing sponsor for the team. Canyon signed a 2 year deal to be the main bike supplier for the team. Oakley signed a 1 year deal to become a sponsor and the supplier of glasses for the team. Bontrager signed a 2 year deal to be the main supplier of wheels for the team. Sram agreed to a 2 year deal to supply the team with groupsets. Giro will be the teams supplier of helmets Sidi will supply the team with shoes. Scandinavia | | 1 | North America | | 2 |

Always a pleasure to welcome another Norwegian team. Certainly going high out by picking Statoil as the main sponsor Best of luck, I'm sure our paths will cross during the transfer season.

That is a very good looking shirt, that's for sure. I like the color combinations and the mountains in the background have a cool resemblance to Vesuvio - Accumalux (A previous team name).

I love it! Is that a little bit of Tre-Berg Bianchi in there? Stunning!
Also the team presentation suggests some big things to happen in the future, good luck

I like the first sponsor presentation! Simple but clean layout. Should be a nice HQ if the rest will follow in the same style
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I'll try my best, but, im making lay-outs in the future - but with the same style
I will not acknowledge that team, as this is the real Statoil team

Great jersey, Norway spreading some oil kroner, over a huge focus range.
Good Luck.

That big bag of money should come in handy, good thing there's a salary cap with giants like Statoil in the CT division.
Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but those are very scenic jerseys . Really nice!

Love the jersey with the snowy mountains! Kind of a typical Norwegian thing, I guess one could argue. Should be quite a unique and easy to spot jersey in the peloton as well
Also very nice to see another Norwegian team join the show, and I'm already looking forward to talk during transfer season. The more talk during transfer season, the funnier it is It will surely be interesting to see how you build your team and what type of riders you aim for. Looking forward to follow your team and progress!
Hopefully also Røkke will appreciate that the biggest brother of them all in terms of Norwegian oil companies will compete in cycling. In a couple of seasons time, we at Aker-MOT might need to lower our ambitions due to the endless moneybag of Statoil and your team dominating the game |
