Matteo Trentin to Orica is official, two-year contract for him
https://cyclingpro...t-trentin/
As a consequence, Cort Nielsen signs with Astana.

I wonder if Trek will get a new leader now that Contador is retiring after the Vuelta or if they'll let Mollema be the leader in the Tour and just hunt stages in the Giro and Vuelta |

I guess Eiking wasn't and was frightened by Rude-y (Molard). |

Even if Vichot was the traditional leader, Molard is the best puncher of the team, 8th in Huy and 17th in Liège. Don't forget Gaudu, 9th in Huy, who is only 20. Eiking seems to be the third or the fourth puncher at FDJ, I don't know if he is better than Vichot who didn't prove anything in the Ardennes classics, but is still performing in french and canadian hilly classics. |

Trek is one worst transfer team..as last years also Astana, also was Lampre. Astana seems to have money ..but no one left to lead team at GT. |

He had some trouble with illness in March/April as far as i know. I think a new team is good for him. As soon as he knew he was going away, he dropped his shoulders a bit and managed to performe. (Tour of Poland)

Nathan Haas to Katusha : https://www.cyclin...ha-alpecin (en)
The next Tour de France will be one of his targets.
Haas admitted that he was disappointed, too, to be overlooked for selection for the Tour de France in 2017, considering his form and the fact that he was withdrawn from the Giro d'Italia in order to prepare for it. At that point, Mark Cavendish's participation was uncertain due to illness, but when the Manxman proved his fitness in June, Haas was among those to miss out.
"With the spring I'd had, I was very disappointed not to get a spot at the Tour de France. I'm not at a point in my career where I've got years to wait, I want to get there," Haas said. "The team pulled me out of the Giro strategically after 10 days to freshen up for the Tour de France. I would have liked either to have finished the Giro or gone to the Tour de France, but I don't feel I was given a very fair run at those races, especially after the season I'd already produced. |
