Clasica San Sebastien Result
Podium
1) Michal Kwiatkowski
2) Tony Gallopin
3) Bauke Mollema
Kwiatkowski held off the challenge of former winners Gallopin and Mollema, the defending champion, to win in San Sebastien. Spain was very close to seeing a home winner, but Landa's race was somewhat compromised by Kwaitkowski's presence. Purepasd and Raziz pick up points for picking the Pole. Only Croatia picked Gallopin and picks up 10 points for the same. He also managed to guilt-trip Aquarius out of picking the Frenchman. Oh well, like they say, one has to stick to with their choices No one picked Mollema. Everyone picked up points for the bonus question.
Points update to be presented after the RideLondon results are posted later...

Me three
Ride London - Surrey Classic Result
Podium
1) Alexander Kristoff
2) Magnus Cort Nielsen
3) Michael Matthews
The big Norwegian picked up his second World Tour Classic win this weekend, out-sprinting Cort Nielsen and Matthews. The likes of Griepel and Sam Bennett were the top picks, but they failed to get on to the podium.
Croatia was the only one to have picked Kristoff, and this together with the bonus, which once again everyone got right, gives him the win here. Raziz picked both Matthews and Cort Nielsen, and this gives him second place in this stage. Emre's pick of Matthews is enough for him to round out our podium. Everyone else picked up 10 points.
After San Sebastien and this race, the table now looks like this:
Name | Races Entered | Bonuses | Total Points | Raziz | 27 | 310 | 950 | jandal7 | 26 | 280 | 835 | Selwink | 25 | 305 | 805 | AbhishekLFC | 26 | 240 | 790 | purepasd | 26 | 230 | 775 | Marcovdw | 27 | 205 | 765 | Aquarius | 21 | 180 | 710 | emre99 | 26 | 220 | 675 | Croatia14 | 27 | 180 | 435 | Ian Butler | 6 | 50 | 245 | Luxemburger | 7 | 90 | 165 | Squire | 4 | 60 | 100 | trekbmc | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Raziz further extends his lead and it will need a mighty swing from one of the chasers to overturn this lead. Jandal and AbhishekLFC are both unable to take advantage of Selwink's absence, with both picking up just 20 points from the two races. Purepasd makes up a place, with Marco struggling this weekend. Behind them, there is no change in the order, as Aquarius, Emre and Croatia round out our regulars. Sadly, Ian seems to have stopped playing. Selwink's misses lowers the omni-present predictors count down to just three!

Quite surprised with my performance over those 2 races. I feel somewhat safe at the top for now, but it's not over till it's over. This, coupled with the fact of the Vuelta could yet still be a turning point. |
