That's an excellent shot of Demare doing a dangerous move.

10.1.Deviating from selected lane, endangering
other riders
1st offence: relegation to the last place in his group, point
classification penalty equal to the points awarded to the first
place of the stage, 200 + 30’’ in general class.
2nd offence: relegation to last place in the stage, point
classification penalty equal to the points awarded to the first
place of the stage, 200 + 1’ in general class.
3rd offence: elimination + 200

So they found 3 offences at once?

The commissaires referred to article 12.104 concerning irregular sprints, which states commissaires are allowed to enforce a judgement to disqualify a rider

The same thing? What same thing? He didn't do anything wrong today.

I suppose you see want you want to see. To me he is following Demare's wheel until he is slowed down by the contact between Cav and himself.

Those three pics say absolutely nothing. Check the video again.

There was enough space when he followed Greipel, then Kristoff made Guarnieri crash. Guarnieri is already going down when contact happens.

disqualifying sagan for this was very stupid.. how the fuck cav could have passed sagan through his right considering the it was like half a meter between sagan and the freaking wall??

in my opinion this happened because of bad positioning from cav while he risked a lot with that move hence that ugly fall

yes he should get a penalty too

and kristoff for moving over on cimolai that caused the first crash (not sagan)

so greipel should be the winner

Kirchen_75
For the record Demare shouldve been relegated but Sagan's antics bailed him out

What does a slow-mo matter when it ignores everything that was leading up to the crash? It seems like people forget that those guys go at insane speed there in such a sprint and this slow-mo is literally the pinnacle of overanalyzing some split seconds.

Yes indeed. Though it was Bouhanni, which was disadvantaged by this as Demare had done the left over move 100ms too early and hence dangerously.

Not sure but I guess Bouhanni/Cofidis didn`t ask for the jury even. Otherwise surely Demare had lost this stage as well. And without them doing it, I think nothing jury can do.

---
And also jury is International, not just French btw. Surely having Demare in this position is nice for the race but jury surely is able to look at this incident on it own.
though having the rumours now surely is not ideal for ASO neither.

Lol, biased much.

Sagan is going for an ever decreasing gap thats just dangerous riding. Its almost the same thing he did to Vantomme at G-W. Kristoff did nothing wrong there lol

This video starts way to late and doesnt show Sagan going towards the barrier and closing the gap with Cav already there for example.

Cofidis i'm sure complained but doubt any of this judges listen to them.

Demare clearly changes his line and he clearly interferes with Bouhanni's sprint. Can't be more obvious.

Justice must not only be done it must be seen to be done.

I like the fact that they are stating an example. Sagan thinks he can do whatever the fuck pleases him and thats on and off the bike. Greipel said that as well, that he thought he was a king and people love and embrace him regardless.. Gives horrible interviews, seems disinterested and is riding very dangerously (some suggest he also was the reason of the first crash, Ill have to look at that again). Remember how he removed the guy in E-3 completely off the road as well?

So now the 2 most talented and best riders in the world are out of the race, with a shit route, with Sky looking to seize control once again. What a Tour guys!

I think so too. Look at it frame by frame from a pre-defined moment and you can turn any man into a saint or a sinner. It's classic twitter 101. When you look too much into the details you just get lost by them.

Plus, as I said, they go at insane speeds. There's little value in frames when the action happens in split seconds.

The gap was the same size when Greipel went through it as it was when Sagan tried to, it only narrowed in the last 0.5 seconds before the crash or so.

This gap is big enough to go through, and the crash happens maybe 10-15 metres later.
