Tour de Suisse (2.WT) Stage 5/9, 172 kms
After countless unfruitful tries, a five-man breakaway was the succesful one. Saez was accompanied by Gérard, Lombardo, Selig and Fonseca. The young Swiss Lombardo turned out to be the strongest on the short climbs. Over the closing one, his gap over the peloton was still at 2'40". The chasing started way too late and Mauro Lombardo secured a win to remember, his very first as a pro too. And on top of that, on home soil. While Bryan Coquard won the bunch sprint, we are delighted to see that Carlos has overcome his fatigue and that Ruben hasn't been affected by yesterday's crash too much. See you guys tomorrow for the sixth stage! Tour de Suisse (2.WT) Stage 6/9, 184.3 kms
The breakaway was not to be underestimated, containing Terpstra, Van Avermaet, Lutsenko, Simon Clarke, Périchot and lastly Cameron Meyer. All day long their understanding was excellent. Their group was only torn apart on the last labeled climb. A trio had remained together, up to the point where Kazakh champion Lutsenko decided to continue on his own. The GC contenders all made it over the hills in the same group. Sérgio Henao and Galtier tried a late acceleration, to no avail. After a cobbled classics campaign stuffed with solid results, Lutsenko bagged his first win at last. Carlos Barbero would conclude the bunch sprint in 7th position. Tour de Suisse (2.WT) Stage 7/9, 205 kms
All attacks ahead of the second climb were neutralized. Jonathan only picked up one mere KoM point. On the 1st cat. Wolfgangpass Team Sky were ready to throw down the hammer. They did so, by sacrificing their domestiques Froome and Valverde. The main group was reduced to 40. Three more men including José got dropped on the cat. 4 Haupststraße. Not unusual unless GC 6th Sér. Henao is discovered to be among them. With Froome and Valverde gone Valérien Galtier is in charge of the Sky train. Just like Ion, the man in the best young rider jersey has to let go 10km from the HC Albulapass summit. More good news for Ruben as 2 fellow contenders for an overall top 10 position had now been dropped. Simon Yates cancelled out attacks by Dan Martin, Benoot, Fuglsang and Tvetcov. With 3 kms to climb, Aru was the first to actually create a gap. When some managed to catch up, 7 riders jointly neared the top. Their names were Yates, Van Garderen, Kelderman, Gallopin, Fuglsang, Aru and Guerreiro. The chasing groups were sitting over 30 seconds down. A slight acceleration on the summit sufficed for Van Garderen, Gallopin and Aru to start going downhill with an advantage over Ruben's group. The second group was unable to catch up again as Tony Gallopin finally broke the curse of the rainbow jersey. Aru and Van Garderen remained in the same time. Ruben Guerreiro's chasing group finished 47" down. Tour de Suisse (2.WT) Stage 8/9, 179 kms
Jonathan Klever played his ultimate card for the blue mountain jersey on the first climb. Setting a high pace was not enough to drop anyone on the cat. 1 Julierpass. Disillusioned and empty he'd sit up to get reeled in. The rest of the group got caught before the final climb. Ion acellerated first, but he would soon be overruled by the duo of Aru and Kelderman. They slowed down a bit under the red kite; could Ion still surprise them? Kelderman did not allow him to, and beat Aru for the stage. Ion held on for a third place. The chasing group was being led by Alejandro Valverde. Ruben finished in 12th, but his group got the same time as the winner. Don't think anybody had expected this already. Sixth after having lost 3 minutes due to a crash is simply impressive.

Don't think the man in the team car has ever had so much fun in a WT stage race.

Rock solid from Izagirre, keeping this up after the Giro. Hopefully someone can step up and grab the stage win to achieve our sponsor goal. If it were to be Ruben he could still climb the standings. Yet there are plenty of good climbers above him so it won't be a walk in the park.
@ ALL:
I'm lucky to be posting pre-written reports at the moment, because I have encountered an in-game issue that keeps me from advancing further. If I don't manage to resolve it, this could be a incredibly sour end to this story.

Tour de Suisse (2.WT) Stage 9/9, 27 km MTT
Off-camera, Jonathan Klever is the first to set a very sharp time. When José Gonçalves finishes flanked by this Spanish fan, the Portuguese has the second time, 51" slower than Klever. At that point a stunning five (!) RuralvÃa riders made it into the top 10 with Cerezo, Barbero, Saez too. It takes another one of our men to get our Ecuadorian out of the hotseat. Ion Izagirre simply crushed his teammate's time, going faster by 1'32". Yet it still was not enough to get the stage, it was Ruben Guerreiro who ruled atop Flumserberg today. The winner made the clock stop at 52'05". I have tried it with one of your posts and it worked. But as I said, it will be a lot of work. Edit your posts, selecting the former PB-link, copy-pasting the new one, confirm the changes of your post,...

Just wow. I was stunned seeing how most of the riders rode during that time trial. Would have loved a win for Klever, but seeing it took TVG and Kelderman themselves to beat him, he should be proud. Great maiden WT stage win and young jersey for Guerreiro though. Without the crash we even would've had him finish in second.
If all of this doesn't satisfy a sponsor, I don't have the slightest clue what will.
Thanks! A great way to head to the National Championships.
Fun fact
All of our WT stage wins have come in either Spain or Switzerland.
