Gilbert maybe 80 too
Gilbert is at least an 81 in game given his Hill, Res and Acc that compensate his fewer points in HI. There are 13 stats and all of them are important.
Gasparotto really has no reason to be an 80 and it's not even close to being arguable to be quite frank.

I don't agree with the bold statement. He could finish top 10 in any hilly classic. He truely felt like 78 HI. I had to start a new career and put him on 81 HI to let him have a chance at winning AGR.

Which is weird, considering we've had to consider lowering his MO and RES because he was winning Mountain stages too, in career mode. Variety is a good thing imo, him being underpowered really isn't a problem since he totally isn't in any game I played.

Another point to consider about Gilbert is that in his last season at BMC we had him at 78 hill which imo was perfect and nobody commented on this. Since going to Quickstep he has been reborn but that has been over cobbles. Because of his injury at AG we didn't see how he would go in a true hilly classic like FW and LBL so calls for him to be at 80 and 81 hill are really over the top imo.
He won AG which is a race that PCM traditionally has usually got completely wrong with its game AI treating it like just another Ardennes race .
I actually increased Gilbert's hill to 79 in anticipation of the Ardennes (something I rarely do before an actual event) as before this he certainly already had a high enough hill for races like Flanders etc
Besides a huge RES and ACC Gilbert also has a big flat and apart from Kwiat that makes him unique among hilly classic riders.

The thing is, I may not totally agree on your statement, but I know that I like Gilbert and that I'm not 100% unbiased. So putting him on 81 HI and 80 COB was perfect for the Ronde, and not perfect for P-R, which he couldn't win anyways 
I would probably raise him a bit and see how he does.

Amazing performance of Enric Mas in the Vuelta a Burgos. As I said previously, he has a great potential and I think he's underrated here . He's the new Contador, keep an eye on him  |
