Nah...they prolly didn't even know there was a race going on.
Besides I doubt that a young rider like him can ride like that over 3 weeks
when he obviously is already in prime shape. Plus those retards at Bora-Tinkoff would prolly burn him to help that a#$?§at Majka.
But really good performances of young'uns like Buchmann, Oomen, Martin or Benoot.

I know, right? British Eurosport can be quiet exhausting when British Postal is involed. They are like fanboys. |

He came 21st last year, I'm quite optimistic for him to top that and top 15 (or even top 10? - maybe too optimistic ) this year

So now Porte just needs the 3 favourites to crash out in the first week and he might stand a chance of winning the Tour
Porte is amongst the favourites, but until he can remove these bad days from his race he's never going to win.

Couldnt watch the stage. Biggest danish performance since MR in 2007 - proud of Birdie, he is such a hard worker but always lacks the special something. Looks like he got the special something, if you catch my drift.
Porte was still the strongest, pyshically, in the race, but Fuglsang was one level better than the rest. Its no surprise Contador and Valv were hammered, both have had a hard spring, this is normally Valverde's level in Dauphine. He could have finished a bit higher if he didn't attack from afar on all the stages - at least he had some fun and tried stuff, animated the race - I can't be sad about that. He will be there in July, even he can't be at his best the whole year |

The Fuglsang hype will be immense - lets hope he can live up to that and finish top5 or top6, otherwise it will be a little awkward as usual when he doesnt perform in a GT. |

why?
Dauphine has been always weird race between Giro and TdF..you can not be top form there. To keep it true next month and TdF 3rd. week.
You can not keep your top form after hard Giro that long.
So it is great oportunist race...Jani Brjakovic, Talansky, Fuglsang..
p.s. Vino never aiming for Dauphine..he always collected red blood cells for tour in that race
you are suspicious ? and having same time Gilbert on your avatar?

Portechkin? Sigh, englighten me please?
Remember how Kashechkin was doing well for few stages in GC in Grand Tours and then would either abandon or fall off the cliff in GC?
See the similarities with Porte or not yet?
lol that never happened. He only rode 3 gt's. Finished 3rd in his 2nd GT and in the 3rd his team got thrown out.
What do you mean, PCS shows completely different: https://www.procyc...our-starts
Do you mean 3 GT's as a leader?

I do like Porte's chance for Tour and really starting to like him since he left Sky but whatever.
+1

Incredible performance by Jakob! All around top performance... Hopefully he gets a free role in the Tour considering I don't believe Aru's chances for a good result yet. |

Everyone saying that Porte had a bay day........just no.
He followed the wrong guy essentially and got ruined because of it. It was poor tactics, but come the Tour this will not happen because of stronger domestiques for both Froome and Porte. Porte actually had a better day than the rest considering the champion performance he put on the final climb.
I really dislike all this "bad day" talk, clearly he is a changed rider and throughout this year, he had 1 bad day (Paris-Nice Stage 2). Others have had so many more, so can you please look at the positives before you look at things that have had its time in the past. |

Spot on! Richie had an amazing day, practically rode solo for most of the stage, a lot like Cadel and BMC. If Richie was in that chase group then he wins by a mile. Clearly wrong tactic on second last climb but he nearly pulled it off. Clearly the strongest rider at the moment. |
