Hello PCM,
My question is about career mode. I have my own database, for example i explain it. I have been with Quick step Floors but when i go to ride the Santos Tour Down Under i see that Fuglsang not have 78 on climbing but 77 and not have 79 on hills anymore but 78. How can i make sure of it, that this will not happen. I want a realistic database and not that this will happen.
Please help me, i want to play this game but then it must be a great experience and not that unrealistic thing.
I hope someone can help me. |

In careermode, the stats of riders improve when they are young and haven't reached their full potential yet but the stats of older riders will decrease during your career. That's the realistic part of careermode, for example: sagan in 2017 is stronger than he was when he was 21 but in 10 years, when he's around 37, he won't be as strong as he is today. ( I hope this explains the stats increase/decrease system)
if you don't want certain riders to decrease/increase, you can edit their stats in your career database with a database editor. |

Yes I have already done that, i have value potential on 1, but i want this on 0, but then it doesn't work anymore !!!! I have a database based on the here and now, so it's not very realistic anymore when valverde has 82 on hills(highest of them all) but when we are at the Amstel he only has 80.
Is there not the same thing as PCM 2013 and 2014, when you could shut down this potential ?
There must be a way to shut it down, though? |

Since PCM 15, this annoying new system of increasing and decreasing stats, has been forcefully introduced and there are pretty much no chances for db makers to adjust the speed of stats changes, so I'm afraid not.

Thanks matt17br !!! You'll know or this annoying system will be on pcm 17 ? Because otherwise i'll go for the PS4 version only. I'll have order the PC version also, but if this system is this bad then i'll pass for the PC version.
You'll also know when the PS4 version have the whole year. So you can not only ride the Tour but also the Giro, Flanders, Paris Roubaix and the Vuelta ?
Because that is what i'll want, but not with the annoying system
Once again thanks for the comment!! |

I can't know for sure, but it's highly likely that nothing has changed.
In TDF 17 you won't be able to ride the full calendar like you can in PCM.

This game is the only thing i like, every cycling ride i see on the television in real!!
You'll know or they can the PS4 version make the same as the PC version ? |

Can you have the database from 2017 also enter it to the game from 2014 ? Then you can shut it down and you'll have good database stats. |

I assume stats are also subjected to the current form the rider is in. Like in 'Tour Down Under', in January, most riders will not reach their top values yet, the highest numbers come in periods where they try to peak, no?
Is quite realistic, in my opinion...
And after all, we are not talking about 10-point gaps here! |

No, we're not talking about riders' forms. It's the sudden decreases for old riders that we rightfully complain about. We used to be able to edit decline age for all riders, so that Valverde wouldn't drastically decrease in the first months of career, but Cyanide took that possibility away.
