This is what I was saying other day when Sky crashed. There are about 5 stages which riders target to get GC gap. Now every stage some GC rider has some or other problem and you wait everytime. For someone like Quinatana who cannot TT is very bad. They will have to get common consensus in peleton. To wait or not.
Like today Zakarin attacked and other team could not do anything but follow. |

The GPS was out on the Blockhaus stage remember. It said Thomas was at 2'30'' and he ended up losing 5mins, so even then it doesn't look good for Tom Dumoulin :/

Agree, for climbing GC guys having to wait this much, would spoil their chances to make a difference in the GC, so while it isn't pretty to see the GC battle continue when a leader jersey is off the peloton like this, I understand the dilemma. |
