In this thread, you can ask your general support questions and report any problems and bugs you find.
Before you do, make sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) thoroughly to see if your problem has been listed there. If the solution offered in the FAQ below doesn't work for you, please mention this in your post to avoid getting your post ignored.
Already reported bugs and the solutions (or fixing progress) can be found in the Reported bugs post below this.
There's two simple rules you need to follow:
1. Don't ask questions about future release dates
2. No PMs to DB Team members. If you need support, we'll provide it in here
Please keep in mind that we're volunteers and we don't get paid to do this. Most of us are working or studying next to this, so be patient if you don't get a reply immediately.

In this post you can find the bugs that have been reported in the Support requests thread since the latest update of the Expansion Pack. We will explain the bugs and provide you with a (temporary) solution if possible.
Latest version: V1.1
Markel Irizar or Francis Mourey or Domen Novak has a missing photo
These photos are the only ones affected by this bug, where they're a pixel too small in height. Download this archive and extract the content in Gui\cyclist_photo, overwriting the existing files, to fix the issue.
Vuelta a Madrid's time bonuses are off
This is caused by a wrong classification xml for this specific race. Download this fix, and copy it inside Xml\Classifications overwriting the older one, to fix the issue.
CCC Tour's Stage 3 has weird AI towards the finish line
It's because of an intermediate sprint right before the finish line. Extract the content of this archive inside CM_Stages and overwrite.
The bugs below have all been solved in the V1.1, but we'll leave the solutions here just in case someone needs them.
Spoiler Every race Kolss takes part to crashes while loading.
This is caused by Kolss' corsair that has a wrong bit depth - 1 bit. We went through all accessories before the release, but clearly this one got overlooked. Oops! This has already been solved for the post-Giro bugfix, but for now you can download this file to fix the problem, and extract it into 3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team\17kls.
Amore & Vita's handles are white in game.
Pretty much the same problem as above. These handles have a bit depth of 8 bit, so they don't make the game crash, but are not shown correctly by the 3D engine. You can download this file to get around this issue, and extract it into 3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team\17amo.
Tour of China II is missing the final 2 stages.
Tour of China II has 2 new stages this year, but we forgot to include them! This has been solved for the bugfix, but here's a workaround if you want to play the Chinese stage race. Just extract the 2 cdx files you find in there in CM_Stages.
Wibatech isn't signed up to any races in ProCyclist mode.
We've recently discovered that PCM has an upper limit for team IDs of 314. We only had 1 team with an ID higher than that, and that team just so happened to be Wibatech. Download this cdb and put it inside Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\Mod\PCMdaily2017DB, overwriting the old one.
Dubai Tour has one more stage than it should.
Quick simulating the non existing 5th stage of the Dubai Tour does the trick, any classifications will remain unchanged. We've fixed this for the post-Giro bugfix, and you can do so as well, before creating a new career, by removing ID 5420 from sta_stage.
I can't get past the Tour of Rhodes.
In STA_Race, change the gene_sz_classification_xml of the Tour of Rhodes from t2_rhodes_class to t2_rhodes_class.xml. This should normally fix the issue. This can be done in both the ongoing save (to apply in this save) and in the general DB (for any future save you will start)

In this post you will find answers for the most frequently asked questions of the support thread and the support threads for previous databases.
Do I need a clean installation of PCM for the database to work?
Spoiler You don't necessarily need a clean installation of Pro Cycling Manager 2016. We recommended this when we released the 2016DB for PCM 2015, because of the large amount of problems the Expansion Pack was causing back then. Since the 2016 EP or the EP Lite haven't caused any gamebreaking bugs since the final patch, you don't need to perform a clean install before installing V1 of the 2017 DB.
However, performing a clean install will save you quite some disk space if you had the EP or another database installed before, and will of course lower the risk of incurring in annoying crashes.
To perform a clean install, go to your installation directory and delete all contents of the folder Pro Cycling Manager 2016. Don't delete the folder itself! Open Steam, go to your Library and right click Pro Cycling Manager 2016. Select Properties and go to Local Files. Click Verify integrity of game cache. Steam will now check which files are missing (all files) and will automatically download and install them again.
I installed the database, but now the teams show pink boxes instead of the minishirt. or I installed the database, but now the bikes and helmets don't show. or I installed the database, but all stages are San Sebastian (123,4 km). What have I done wrong?
Spoiler Most likely, you unpacked the database in the wrong directory. As a general rule, you need to install the Expansion Pack in the same directory as the one where you can find the PCM executable file (PCM.exe). In our archive, you should manually change the installation directory. The standard location where Steam installs your game is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016, but this directory can be different if you set Steam to install the game in another directory (f.e. D:\SteamLibrary\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016).
I have installed the database, but when I select it, the message "Thank you for using..." appears and I can't continue from there (the "OK" button doesn't respond).
Spoiler This has been a bug of the game, which has been solved by Cyanide in one of the first updates (1.2.0.0 if I recall correctly). You'll have to update your game in order to get this fixed. If you have prevented Steam from updating your games automatically, you can update PCM manually in the Settings of the game in the Steam Library.
Considering that the game has only been released as Steam game as of PCM 2016 (so not in the Program Files\Cyanide directory anymore), the information above should be enough to solve this problem if you have legally purchased the game. For those who haven't installed the game through Steam, we would like to point out that this community is partially funded by the profits of the game (when bought using the GamePlanet link you can find on the homepage of this website).
Next to that, the game wouldn't exist any longer if we all decided to obtain pirated copies of the game instead of buying it. Therefore, we won't provide support in this case, if we find out that you're using an illegal (pirated) copy of Pro Cycling Manager 2016.
Recently, we have heard of cases where users who bought the game through retailers, were actually shipped a pirated copy they were charged money for. In this case, unfortunately, we can't do anything about it, and if you suspect you might have been scammed like this, you should contact the online store/retailer you bought the game from.
I installed the database, but I would like to install another database as well. Does this cause problems?
Spoiler We tried to configure this database in a way that it can be installed alongside another database. However, there are some files that could get overwritten when you install another database. This could result in alterations of your gameplay (like different sponsorkits or missing/wrong jerseys, accessories, etc.) or even crashes. So it is possible to install multiple databases, but it's risky.
You can however try to make a second installation of PCM in a different path. This way you can play 2 databases with virtually no risks!

So it's possible to have both this DB and the EP side by side?

Yeah, the graphic files for the 2016 season have not been overwritten - except for the race leader jerseys I guess.

The entireness of 2011 and 2012 were removed from the light cdb palmares We might tweak it a bit more to remove lesser races in future updates.

Ok m8 so Froome will have 3TDF then? Only downside is say Nibali who won La Vuelta so no point going for Vuelta record. Or trying put Cavendish as the most stage winner at the TDF.. Still thank you very much cannot wait to play it im going to go for Sky and get rid of Froome and bring the Yates bros in thank you |

Froome will have 3 TDFs.
Are you aiming at the records? Those are a different thing, even if we removed the entire palmares those would still be there because they belong to a different table, sta_records.

Why UCI World Tour categories are "CWT", not "WT \ UWT"?
I mean in schedule |

Thanks! We will look into this, although I am not sure what could cause this atm.

Why would you prefer to upload DB to mega.co.nz. Why not use Google Drive ? |

What about the custom jerseys that came with the EP - are they included in the 2017 DB?

Google Drive offers 15 GB for free, which are not enough for both the Variants and the DB. MEGA offers 50 GB.
@ivaneurope, yes they are and several new ones are included too.
@marcoplv, might be some leftover from the original Local.cdb where the WT is called Cyanide World Tour. We'll take a look at it.
@Voluke, I converted the sta_records table you sent 2 weeks ago, what did you add since then?

there's something wrong with some of the archives, for example, the tour of 2011 is won by a 21 year old regen with the palmares of bradley wiggins. and the milano sanremo which was won by gerald ciolek, is in the archives won by a 19year old regen with ciolek's palmares.
Those are the ones that i spotted but there are probably more |

So basicly the 2017DB could serve as an addon to the EP - it'll only overwrite the jerseys in the Race directory.
