Is it actually coming out? I've heard nothing at all about it. Usually by now there are a few little details and conformation by Cyanide that it's coming out and when. But nothing.
Will it come out? Anyone know? |

There's already a beta, so I would find it likely that there will be a PCM17 coming out. IIRC Cya was also quite late with the release of info last year, so I think nothing much has changed in that sense.

Beta has indeed been and gone, so it does exist. Cyanide, or more accurately Focus, doesn't seem to put as much into marketing PCM as a few years ago. Don't mind particularly, would mind even less if that money was going into the game itself.
Release date will be roughly the same as forever, early/mid June just in time for Le Tour, and it will cost roughly the same as forever. No confirmation needed, it's always the same thing every year.
There will be Console game again. Same release date. Same cost.
More details, like features and screenshots, will most likely come late this month or into May. Follow PCM, Cyanide and Focus on twitter for the most up to date information. And we'll get the key points up on site as fast as we can as well.

Ok guys, the information has likely stopped me from killing myself. I could never imagine if this game stopped updating year after year. I just hadn't heard a thing till now. |

Especially as I have over 350 hours on PCM 16 and haven't even played it for 6 months. |

Whilst the graphics update looks good, I agree that it's not the change we deserve, or the one we need right now

considering that almost any gameplay development since pcm11 has made the game worse, i wouldn't complain too much! |

Facebook announcement, including new features:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/tour-d...529291204/
Spoiler For the first time in the series, organize your team in a paceline at any time during the race to protect your riders and allow them to prepare ahead of key-areas. Your opponents not only weigh in the potential of your riders for each stage, but also evaluate them with a long-term perspective.
In-race pace and stamina management have been made more realistic, thanks to an improved physics engine that better accounts for climbs and descents. In Career mode, you can also now adapt the schedule and intensity of your training regimen to each rider in order to grant them with performance boosts during competitions.
Players can now form clans in order to join other members of the community to organize competitions, chat and compare achievements in-game. Likewise, a revamped progression system has been introduced in Pro Cyclist mode - perform well and fulfill the objectives given by your manager to progress within your team and beyond! |

Hope that could mean follow at any point in the race (!)
Pro Cyclist mode progression improvement better be good, because it needs to be Hope the revamped pace/stamina thing also improves it a lot, and it sounds like career riders training will be like you can do in pro cyclist but for all of them.

That would be a super improvement. It gives us a chance to adjust much better the rider's form. I don't set form in goals page, but manualy, but still it would be better undoubtely.

Sounds like they brought the old training schedule system back.

At least we don't have to glitch the game to do trains anymore, although i wonder how well/often the AI will try it especially with weaker teams/divisions where such a tactic doesn't work irl.
And does this mean the AI isn't looking ar your GC/points/etc position already? Because it really feels like it does. Or is it talking season long ranking, which is odd because not even real teams and riders care about that in any quantity.

If STA has an impact in races under 200km that'd be a good start!
Career fitness planning, good to see we've gone back to like PCM12/13. Always a good sign when a selling point is a standard feature of an older version.
Players can now form clans in order to join other members of the community to organize competitions, chat and compare achievements in-game. Likewise, a revamped progression system has been introduced in Pro Cyclist mode - perform well and fulfill the objectives given by your manager to progress within your team and beyond!
Clans?! Is it an early 00's MMO? And people care about in-game achievments?
But a better matchmaking system is a good move.
Will wait for detail on the "recampe progression" because that sounds exactly like they sold the old system again. It needs to be a damn sight more detailed and linked better to your racing and objectives, and that system then works well indivudally for each rider type.
Cyanide has an awful lot of work to do to get me interested to play the game at all, let alone cough up full price to buy it. Too many years and stagnation and 3D/Online race focus. And so far it sounds a lot more the same.
Much happier giving more money to FM and plugging my hundreds of hours into that.
