Liege - Bastogne - Liege Result
Podium
1) Alejandro Valverde
2) Dan Martin
3) Michal Kwiatkowski
This result was so obvious that four predictors had picked exactly this podium outcome for this race. On a weekend where we were reminded of the uncertainty of life and the dangers a cyclist faces on the road everyday, this predictable result was an out-lier.
A record-breaking four perfect scores and double points were awarded this weekend. Selwink, Purepasd, Raziz and Aquarius zoom up the table as a result. Some of the others will be left to ponder what could have been as some members got the better of themselves hoping for a different result. We also welcomed a brand new predictor this season in the form Ian Butler to this game. Thank you for joining Ian.
There is a lot of change in the table after the last race. Here is the updated table:
Name | Races Entered | Bonuses | Total Points | Raziz | 18 | 170 | 575 | Selwink | 18 | 170 | 530 | purepasd | 18 | 150 | 485 | jandal7 | 17 | 120 | 480 | AbhishekLFC | 17 | 100 | 425 | Marcovdw | 18 | 60 | 415 | emre99 | 17 | 115 | 410 | Aquarius | 12 | 90 | 410 | Croatia14 | 18 | 80 | 115 | Luxemburger | 7 | 40 | 115 | Squire | 4 | 60 | 100 | Ian Butler | 1 | | 50 | trekbmc | 2 | 0 | 0 |
The top of the table has opened up like the peloton in desert cross-winds. Raziz speeds away at the top into oceans of space as Jandal is left to rue this latest race. Selwink and Purepasd follow suit, moving above Jandal, to further pile on the latter's misery. Emre is also a big loser, moving down behind Marco and Purepasd while Aquarius catches up to him. Ian immediately moves off the bottom spot with a solid point score in this race.

Wow, the table is so much different from the previous race. Decided to go with the obvious choices and it paid off. Extremely unlucky for others who were just a rider away from scoring double points.
A good cushion for myself up the top, but there is no guarantee it is going to stay that way. Some new people challenging my throne heading out of the one-day races and into more stage races. |

Still in Classics mode . Which also reminds me, answers to Year Long Questions Set 2 will be out tomorrow, after the entries for Romandie close.
Bonus question updated in original post.

With the Giro coming up in a couple of weeks it can all change in a flash! Till then, a couple more races to consolidate for everyone.

I really wanted to say Roglic for both Top 3 and points, but I guess that would've created some bad luck. Also can't wait for Gaudu here as well as the African DiData line-up.

If you correctly guess the podium, you can have double points in every race! Plus you also get double for correctly predicting the various classifications in each GT.
You can have a re-look at the rules in the first post of this thread for clarifications, or ask here or in PM if you still have further doubts.
