What a career he could have had without Fuentes, lost two years because of it and he'll always be associated with it. It's just insane how he can still accelerate when everybody else is at their limit.

And what was up with Gerrans attacking? Did I see that right?

Wasnt that Yates riding for Albasini?

Dunno, I had visitors so not payed full attention, but there was an Orica attack from 80K out that looked like Gerrans.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Plus he was probably at his Stage Race riding peak during those years that he missed.

What in the hell was doing Kwiato at the begin of Ans. So bad positioned... Sad

Talking of position Martin had to make up 50m to even get to the front when he made his attack Grin

Don't get me wrong, I applaud the attempt and it certainly blind sided everyone given how far back he was when he launched. Makes it all the more impressive that he kept it going to the end to finish 2nd only to eternal youth.

Is a Gerrans mentally and physically able to ride past other riders before the 200m mark?! Wink

His stage racing peak will be at 40

and Martin did it twice..was almost at Formolo back wheel 15m short. Was looking over shoulder , did see Kreuziger and attacked again.

What's the funniest is he was saying going to Quickstep would mean he'd be in perfect position in all the classics and that is why he is moving

Anyway Martin does look like Frankenstein, he probably has malfunctioning brain too

Yup, but nothing has changed because in reality he is the problem as far as positioning goes. It's his fatal flaw.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

I would wait with these observations, but he was perfect yesterday, great work for his leaders, shame that Albasini or Yates were not able to score better after that. It is also impressive after his horrible crash at Amstel, where he was not sure if he can ride other ardennes races.

Valverde is just wow, looks like unbeatable in those two classics, these are just his races, you can do anything and still loose it to him. Ofc the general racing was to his benefit, Movistar got massive help from SKY this time and rest was easy for his last killer kick. A true legend indeed.
I'll be back

Talking about Kreuziger: Found that picture in another cycling forum:

It was subtitled with:

- "Your biological passport looks way fishier than mine"
- "No, yours does!

Albasini was strong throughout the classics, should be in good form now for Romandie.
