Strictly comparing classics palmarés and that you can certainly do. |

Van Avermaet will ride Liege, stating he has nothing to lose. Gilbert on the other hand will also miss the Giro, as his injury is more serious then it seemed.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

From what i've read it sounds more like they're just being careful. Wouldn't want to race more Ardennes whilst it's fresh injury, and then taking it careful into May. Better to avoid Giro then race it injured and end his career if it goes wrong. Sounds like he'll be able to race in just a few weeks but may take some more rest and re-aim for a TDF place.

Phil and Alaphilippe in the same TDF team is not legal. Too much panache. |

Kittel weighs up for one of them. |

The biggest question today is whether Valverde will open his mouth or not. The only rider I can see challenge him today is Henao |

Somehow, I get a feeling that this'll be more a Martin race than a Sky race...

Was it last year of the year before that Henao was "suspended" for his biological passport right before this race? He was a top favourite then, and he looks even better this year.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Even the british commentators joked a bit about him. I would still like to see him back at his old form

I think (and hope) this performance will earn him a Giro spot. Hopefully he will be more useful than last year!
