I don't know if they can be considered for this, but some team HQ's and rider stories in EPIC are also fantastic.
I'm still very proud on my Vuelta report I did, no doubt the best reports I've written (well cause they are the only PCM reports instead of my 'usual' TdF ones )

Was it written in Spanish? No, then who cares

How could I forget Team Dark Dog, it's one of the best stories I have read!
As you Selwink and TMM say, I would like to change the list and categorize it. But I was thinking about a layout/design. I cannot think about one, right now. Can someone help with a nice layout?

I blame this thread for starting another story!
So, thanks |

It's great to see people being inspired to start a story because of this thread!
(Can I then claim that I got you back on the site? )

Dan Martin story I think started the one-rider story genre
I know its now in the list, but I think The Danish Puncheur was the first, or atleast one of the first, and the most successful early on. However both The Danish Puncheur and The Dan Martin story were my biggest influences when I did David Veilleux, and also my less successful Ryder Hesjedal story
I do miss those PCM 2010 days a lot though. I had so much time for stories and I miss a lot of the users from those days too! Dark Dog and Discovery Channel were probably my favourite team stories from that time, and after about 2012 and a bit of 2013 I haven't really been following any stories, although it seems there are quite a few I should check out!
Another story to suggest, is Philippe Gilbert by laidbackmarc https://pcmdaily.c...rowstart=0
It had some of the best graphics for the story at the time, although unfortunately, all the image links seem to be dead and Im not sure its as long as the others in the list at only 14 pages. (I could have sworn it was longer than that though!)

It's BB code, it won't ever be "pretty" unless you get some custom graphics but that'll be a pain to update
Just depends how you want to break it down. Something like:
Type of Story (Team, One-Rider, Other)
Story Name | Author | Game(s)
Reason why it was a good story worth reading. A couple of scentences on what it did well eg. graphics, creativity, detail etc. Maybe a rough idea of the story concept.
Awards + Nominations + Anything else worth noting
Ordered alphabetically or by author or by game, just some consistent way to list them. Story Name link to the starting thread, can add other thread links in the italics section as part of "anything else worth noting".
Also can use "Anything else worth noting" to point out stories with dead image links.
Just clearly the name and author at the top then a few scentences on the story.
Very simple layout but would be easy to read.
Separate Types of Story out into their own Quote's for clarity
You don't need to write 'PCM' under game, we all know that part! Just the year(s) will do fine.
No use of tables either, because long names always f*ck them up and make them look weird.
More work that just a list, but that's the point because a list is just going to the subforum and looking at the thread list, or to the awards thread and looking at the nominations list.
Can get others to help write the summaries.

Ah Ok that was the one I was thinking of, one of the puncheur ones

Great post by TMM.
Yes, maybe a small team could be assembled to divide the workload. |
