Yeah, it really looks like a very good route. Only thing I'd like would be a prologue or a short ITT as the first stage, it is a bit too climber friendly for my taste this way.

The T-A and Paris-Nice routes both look good. They have both come up with some poor designs in recent years, especially P-N 2014, but also the latest editions of T-A.

Caleb Ewan wins the Australian Criterium Championship, with Jessica Allen taking the women's title. Next few days will see the national ITT and road race championships.

Could be a big year for Ewan. He's had his first year on the pro tour. Needs to start winning races outside of Australia now.

2017 is Ewan's third year in the World Tour. In 2015, he won a stage in La Vuelta. Last year he won two stages in TDU, and the Hamburg Classic (after Bouhanni DQ)

Oh yeah Smile I did seem to remember him winning something quite big which made everyone say he was the next big thing in sprinting.
Even more reason for him to win something meaningful this year then. Mark Cavendish won 4 stages at the Tour and two at the Giro in his second season Smile

Cav won 3 stages in the giro and 6 stages in the tour in his third year. Imagine if Ewan pulled that off.

I'd expect a similar line up as last seasons race, Thomas, Contador, Porte, Bardet, one of the Yates

Cavendish was and is a much bigger talent than Ewan Wink

If Ewan bagged a GT stage win this season then he's done a good job, we have a pretty talented pool of sprinters around at the moment and little Ewan might get pushed around a little to much by the big kids

Col de la Couillole hardest climb in P-N ever? They climbed Ventoux to Chalet Reynard in 2008, I think, but they are pretty equal in terms of hardness IMO. Since its a MTF, its unlikely to get cancelled considering Terminillo and all that.

I cannot stand one more cancellation. Lets hope the riders union of mickey mouse racing conditions won't complain too much!
