Decent start from Intxausti and Brenes here. If they can keep it up (and hopefully avoid stages ending in sprint finishes) we should be in for a good result. Congrats Gustavo on the win!
Thanks for the report too

Thanks guys. Nice start
Machado has this race tattoed on his arm, he knows what we expect of him, expescially after last year's performance. However, Amador being the beast that he is, should be the one to impose the rules.
Looking forward for the forthcoming stages!

Still very much in the mix, with Contador being stealthy to stay in the 1st group. Stage 2 doesn't look as hard, could be a day for Contador to put in an attack over the top of the last climb. |

Great stage for us here, Slagter in the break already is promising, the KoM jersey here would be great and Ablenado very much in the mix for the U25 jersey, cool start to the race for us!
Congratz to Amador and UBS, he simply was the strongest today!

Pleasantly surprised by Valls so far to be inside the top 10 in a strong field. Need him to keep going and would also like for one of our riders to get into a breakaway.

Congrats to Gustav on the first stage.
I'm lucky to have a good ride from Amador here. There is still a lot of action and shake ups to be had, I'm sure. Thanks for the great reporting!

Monsalve you fool...feel for you Heine as expectations on him were (justified) a lot bigger than what he gives you in reward...
Congrats Bushwackers. Amador proving to be the nonplusultra in PCT climbing. |

It is just not Monsalves year, first stage was great, but his inconsistency is infuriating (prolly a lot of spelling mistakes there :-p)

Valls yet again managing to be invisible but finish 7th and moving up to 5th in the GC. Wouldn't mind if he continued this till the end. Herrada on the other hand sitting in 16th has likely played a great helping role and I hope he also continues.

Oh that's actually great work of Brajkovic. If he could hang on to this GC position that would be more than I had expected beforehand

Sometimes I almost forget how worthless Anacona have been on PCT level.
Then along comes a race featuring him on the startlist...
At least nice to see Khalifa showing his NC-jersey again. A clear highlight of the race so far for me. Next a guys who can climb a bit to join a break?

Valls again with a strong ride and he moves up one more place to 4th. A top 5 finish from him would be great so we'll hope for the best.
