It's called winter pause.

Under that perhaps he meant World Tour team. Seriosly, why any rider who is not wanted by WT teams retires instead of going PCT/CT - I don't think Ribellin for example complained when no WT team wanted him.

To be fair he could probably get a better paid job elsewhere. Away from the superstars cycling isn't an amazingly well paid job for the work you have to put in.
He's won two races in his whole career so he's not exactly going to be able to demand a high salary.

Wasn't part of the reason Rebellin signed in PCT because he was a former doper and PT teams somewhat/sometimes have an unwritten rule where they dont sign former dopers? Similar to Di Luca.

*looks at Valverde, Contador, Millar, Pozzovivo, Ulissi, Petrov and others*
Rebellin went down the ranks because he got old as much as anything else. He was already something like 38(?) when he got banned.

latest version of hidden motors can give an athlete a 15-second burst of power that allows them to gain an advantage on their rivals that no doping product can match.

There were exceptions too, but Rebellin and Di Luca were both good enough to still be in the PT when they came back. Also, most return to their former team if they do actually return to PT right away, if their former team doesn't sign them, I feel like other PT teams are less likely to sign them and the rider would have to settle for a PCT team most of the time, although I haven't really looked into it much.
PS, when did Pozzo get suspended, I couldn't find anything on it? Or do you mean Pellizzotti? He joined Androni in the PCT after his suspension.

Pozzovivo is Italian, ergo he is a dopehead. |

Sir Dave will face a committee of British MPs to answer question's about Wiggo's TUEs.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

In other November news, Andy Murray won SPotY last night. Froome was robbed.

and its a drug that cant be used by anyone with asthma, but you gave it to wiggins?
cant say im surprised. brailsfords lies have never been consistent or believable |

All this trouble for acetylated amino acid? Fuck me
Mind you, NAC (Fluimucil) is somehow of an hidden gem for hungovers. I bet that's the real reason they gave it to Wiggo if they ever did
