Westbrook does not count this season. Of course his stats are incredible, so is his performance. But just like Harden it`s one-player-teams this season.
More allround teams would have players capable of similar stats as well but share the ball a lot more to be more competive.
Klay`s game tonight was awesome. Only watched the replay but some days you just can hit from everywhere.
As Dallas supporter it`s a tough time. Seeing Dirk having one of his worst injuries missing several games at this part of his career sucks. With Bogut, Barea, Curry, Williams also struggling with injuries, Devin just only now coming back as well it is a tough time with a 50/50 playoff team before the year.
At least Barnes stepping up big times and Matthews doing really great in last couple games they are playing well and often lose really close only. Their defense is pretty good actually but they lack the bit of extra points to win.
But the rookies stepping up is great for seasons to come. Finney-Smith and Gibson both with decent performances. Anderson and Powell also did better in last few games. So hopefully they will be able to get more wins soon.
A Dallas supporter talking about tough times, here's a Suns supporter with even tougher times - At least they drafted 2 fantastic players and contracted some decent and cheap veterans, so in 3 seasons they might be up there again
On the bright side my second love, the T-Raps, look fantastic - I remember when the commentators were astonished about Toronto drafting Siakam late in the first round. Now they see that it was a more than decent move to do that...

Yes. MVP season clearly. Just like Harden.
But they won`t win the title and hence I prefer other teams where players don`t go all-in for triple doubles every night and instead will also be a title contender due to more than one top guy.
In the end Westbrook and Harden will be in the MVP decision and not undeserved. But if other players with less stats but stronger team statistic are in the mix as well such as Curry, LBJ, Kawhi or even guys like Derozan or Lillard, then I wouldn`t consider twice, which to vote for.
Thunder @ Rockets are 4th and 5th right now which would set up a first round match between them meaning somebody has to advance further
Don't doubt the Thunder like everyone did last year against San Antonio. Don't forget they were a few minutes away from advancing to yet another finals.
The eastern conference is doing sub-par again like normal

Hmm, no one can average a triple double apart from LBJ and he has never done it (or been close, I think). And he has been on some pretty bad teams where he had to do everything.
Westbrook is just insane, no other way around it. I was a OKC supporter in their early years for a few seasons where it definitely seemed liked Westbrook held Durant back, now Im not so sure.

Wesbrook is special case this year...with departure of KD, many expected this individual outburst, but the man is beyond crazy, over all expectations. Yeah, he shoots like 20-30 FGs every game, everything goes around him when he is on the floor, but we cant say he does not move the ball for example, because the guy is second in assists in the league. Only bad things are so many turnovers, but that comes with enormous number of touches he gets. Surely a biggest MVP candidate, but only if OKC can win 50+ games i would say, because you need your team doing well wo deserve that award.
Mavs are really in bad position now, i think few bad years await the fans of this franchise, the transition to post-Dirk era will not come easy and i dont see more than few very valuable assets in the squad.
When it comes to my two favourite teams, Clippers started with fantastic energy and ball movement, being the top team in the league. They had bad second half of November though, but still if theycan find the rhytm again and stay healthy, i hope they can challenge the best teams in the conference (read Spurs and Dubs). Griffin is having another excellent year, lets hope he will stay fit this time.
My second love, T-Wolves are yet not making the next step that was maybe expected from the young core of Towns-Wiggins-Lavine. It is hard to expect wonders from three 21y olds in starting lineup, i think they will get there eventually, but for now, consistency is their main problem. And Rubio, i still dont know what to think about him. Genious playmaker, who cant shoot the brick, is he worthy, is he not?
