Yeah, i am well known for never ever complaining about how the game got from bad to total shit during last three-four years, every off season trying to speak some sense into people to use older PCM ,much better gameplay wise? Shit...i am maybe the only one warning about the dangers of newer engines from singleplayer experience with purpose of more enjoyable game for whole community and you write this? That i only complain when results are bad and threaten someone that i will quit?
I am even less understood than i have ever thought, not any other comment (to make it harder - from such a likeable guy and post liked by more guys i though are Daily buddies of mine) made me so sad like this one.
To be honest Metinvest was already planned to be disbanded before this season, because of my time and family issues, but SN made me think twice about it and i have changed my mind. I dont regret it, as this was the best forum game i have ever tried, but there is time to move on and stop poisoning the air for others, with my complaints when we loose, as you named it.
There was no need and no reason to take that post personally - even less so to take the likes personally! It would be sad to lose you as a manager when doing so in this way.
Well, stupid things are happening sometimes. My directeur sportif was probably drunk here when decided to send two my leaders to help my only decent sprinter. I try to take this poor choice of AI as a part of fun and partially as a bad choice of myself when selecting startlist as well. In real cycling stupid things are happening as well. You have to lose sometimes, try to take the positives. You will be more lucky the next time, this game is hugely based on luck. And luck means you will be mathematically 50% more or less lucky and 50% more or less unlucky. It is exactly like that in MG too and it is exactly the same for everyone. The next time it is highly likely I won't be that really unlucky manager.
But when someone threatens to leave the game it seems kind of bullish attitude to me towards the people who try to make the best out of this game. As far as I remember, I never heard you saying you wanted to leave before until now when your team isn't doing that well in the rankings and you are also a bit unsatisfied with how the Giro is going.
You are saying edition X is better, but I'm sure there would be some people who would have a problem with that because this series is far from perfect.
My point is that threatening to leave the game when things don't particullary go your way isn't a very nice attitude and it's not very fun for me to read that in the comments, especially since the game has fucked pretty much everyone not just you or a group of people in particular.
I don't think Avin saying this has anything to do with the performances of Metinvest. He has always been the most vocal critic of recent versions of PCM and has always been calling for switching back to PCM 11.
But I do agree that in race discussions all managers should try to keep the immersion of the game intact for others. So this is not the place to complain about the game engine being broken. And it is even worse to create a negative atmosphere with threats of leaving the game.
I really hope you stay in the game Avin! And let's have another discussion on which PCM version to use during the next off-season.
(Gotta sleep now; will post my reaction to this race tomorrow)

So you apologize, just to repeat further the same exact words that have offended me? Good job.
But i agree that my info about leaving the game after end of season could stay out of race discussions forum, same with thoughts about broken engine. So i should take them into thread "Which version of PCM to use for next year" or "What do you plan to do with our team" right? Oh wait, this thread have never existed and all my posts about the matter were quickly rejected for last three years in the various threads...then people with no/or less experience with the newer editions are surprised how bad the new games are in terms of AI, because they bought the phrases "game will be better next year".
Till the end of the season, i will stay strictly on topic about the races in race discussions, further AI discussion from my side is pointless anyway. Sorry for hijacking this thread. And thanks DD for being the only one standing up for me somehow.
I would have never thought that my posts can be seen as threatening to leave because of bad results (who would leave/complain about the game because of own team results when he promoted and almost jumped into PT top5 next year, winning two GTs and third win maybe on the way? Funny enough that it is almost exact opposite when results like Zmorka winning last years Herbiers is one of the biggest exclamation marks about falling quality of the game and its suitability for man-game). Then again i have overestimated/underestimated people in the past, so i should have not been so surprised...
I have nothing more to say, lets enjoy the rest of the season and fight for top5!
I do have to agree with Avin that it definately isn't "just because of bad results" that he complains about the game and the AI. He does that whenever we talk about possibility to change games - Which is basically every season. But I also don't think this is the place to say that one will be leaving the game, as it comes out as poor sportsmanship (I for one should not speak to highly, because I react very openly and direct myself - Without putting enough thought into my words).
In my oppinion the problem is not that we move from Game A to Game B, but that the gameplay haven't been tested thoroughly, and that what the mass votes for (eg. crashes) aren't communicated well enough. And I'm not pointing fingers at specific persons here, because the guys running the game are doing a fantastic effort. I believe we should try to use the same game version for atleast a couple of seasons. Not because the game is the best, but because we gather experience and thus are able to create a team around that knowledge, instead of shooting in the blind each and every season. One version a specific type of rider works great, the next they are worthless. The past seasons timetriallists have been a safe bet for points if only they are good enough. This season they are all over the place. Last season the top sprinters worked great, before that it was very random. This season it seems more realistic, where top sprinters are usually doing better, but other good sprinters are capable of winning. Hilly sprinters seem to win hilly sprints and so on. So I think that this version have some good things - But also a lot of bad things. And that makes things very very hard to plan and use experience in.
Randomness is a good thing. Too much randomness is not good. And in my oppionion we are experiencing a little bit too much randomness when we swap version each season. Atleast give it 2 seasons with the same version. Otherwise we will have zero knowledge on what to do. Building a team with talents can be completely wasted if a certain type of riders are suddenly performing drastically differently. In some versions GC riders with a low HI stat would do great, even in hilly stages of a GC race, while in other versions those riders were crap and losing the race due to those hilly stages. Either way is fine by me - But not knowing what is realistic to get from your riders is devastating imo.
I have gotten so much luck from Clement Koretzky this season. Twice a top 10 GC from races that basically doesn't suit him because of a hard mountain stage and long TT's. I selected him to chase a stagewin and then perhaps 30-40th GC. I got way more. And that is obviously welcomed when it goes my way, but rather frustrating for those who selected riders that should be able to win the race.
This became much more of a general observation, but I hope both sides of this will be heard and respected. We need to keep discussing these, but we really don't need people to be offended or offend others. And I honestly think that no one aims to do that.
Oh and btw. Despite us doing really poor this season (12-15th after the Giro) we are not going to roll over and give up our place in this great game.
As switch to PCM16 is basically impossible for MG to implement , i guess you will get stuck with PCM15 for a very looong time, so dont worry. Just sell all the TTists
