That's also an odd transfer. Don't believe Cimolai get many chances against Demare

They signed him for their train, just like they did with Guarnieri.

3 Years!!! Feels like an oddly long extension, anyone else at Sky on the books until 2020?
Poels just got PAID. May explain why he didn't bother to turn up to the Italian classics in decent form, should have waited a bit.
Or just that he is incredibly inconsistent. He really got nothing going for himself in terms of leading Sky in Giro d' Italia. Another disaster incoming, you can book it. |

Davide Cimolai to FDJ...that's a surprising but in my eyes fantastic signing for FDJ!
the other way goes Vegard Stake Laengen joining TJ Sports, I'm not exactly a fan of this move of Vegard but let's see, if he gets the freedom to attack...in my eyes he could become a decent classics guy if he continues his developement...

He was weighed down by his wallet... added an extra couple of kilos following the new deal

At 29 he's at an age where he needs to decide if he want's to ride for GT's or concentrate on classics and shorter races.
Given the length of contract Sky must see him having the potential to develop into a GT winner. Doubt he'll ever get a shot at the Tour with Froome there but he could defo lead at the Giro or Vuelta in the future.
He just needs to hurry up before Sky sign the Yates brothers

Why not? Simon is already on the right track with his missing asthma TUE. Give Adam some time, he'll get there as well
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's only another year + pay rise I assume, I don't mind too much where he goes so long as it fits my criteria of a good team and a good team (if you get my meaning) But he obviously loves it at OGE and they're building him some great support. This will take him to his peak days, too. He'll be 29 for 2019 and the landscape will have changed a bit.
Thanks for trying though

The Transfer Tale has lead Contador to Trek. Sagan to Bora, Nibali to Bahrain and Gilbert to Ettix, but has it been that game-changing. I expected a few more big transfers. Teams such as Bahrain-Merida and Bora-Hansgroghe have come into the World Tour. The UCI World Tour is always expanding. 11 new race have come, but is cycling all benifitting from this. Is the sport improving or declining. Some say the doping era is over, where others say it is still continuing. Is cycling heading in the right direction or simply diminishing the sports' reputation. You see Froome running up Ventoux, you see riders dieing from severe crashing. You hear cases about TUE's, Froome, Wiggins they have used substances in a legal manner, but it is a mark in cycling's history. This is only simply tarnishing our sport. The Armstrong doping days are over, but is a new era simply a glimmer of hope quickly to be dashed by defeat. I don't know......
Be happy

Is Sky really a much worse destination than Astana though?
