I appreciate different views, and then you called Blink-182 "the godfather's" of pop-punk and i had to laugh Ramones, Kinks, Buzzcocks, Undertones, Jam, Offspring and Green Day all have much stronger claims to the title of godfather's of pop-punk. Blink-182 were a big part of the mainstream era, but no more so than Jimmy Eat World or Good Charlotte.

The Offspring and Greenday possibly, although both started as pure punk bands and became progressively popier through time (Possibly to a point of stepping away from punk all together in the case of the offspring). I wouldn't call the first five Pop-Punk.
Blink 182 brought pop-punk to the mainstream. All the Small Things is arguably the greatest pop-punk song of all time. It is the anthem you would use to describe the genre in one song.
Without Blink 182 you could argue there would be no Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, even Avril Lavigne.
I wouldn't say Jimmy Eat World are in any way punk of any description, although they are also one of my favourite bands of all time and also have a new album due out
Of course they are also probably responsible for Busted and McFly so it's not all good

You call Offspring not punk enough and then claim 182 and All The Small Things are, despite ATST being 182's most pop song and 182 being distanced by most of the punk community. Ok... We've clearly got very different ideas on what constitutes Punk, Pop-Punk and Punk-Rock.
Also you might want to check your dates, with most of those bands signing and releasing within months of each other. You might also want to check what a "godfather" is, because that would need to be related to genre formation, which was most definately ahead of 182's time. But i will agree 182 had a big role to play in popularising the genre in 99-00 alongside several other bands.

Look. I don't want to get into a drawn out discussion as it is mostly down to opinion and musical taste, but Blink 182 have been the most successful pop-punk band over the last 15 years, alongside Greenday. Their latest album was number 1 in the US and UK. How many pop-punk bands have achieved number one albums?
Anyway, rate the video MM. Then you can put one up for the true godfathers of pop-punk in your opinion

6/10 Much like yourself with the last song, that isn't the genre I normally listen to at all. in fact, I'm not even sure what genre that was! But for what it was I thought it was pretty good, incredibly simple in a way that I thought was boring at first but ended up being cool with.
Now onto perhaps not the Godfathers of Pop Punk but definitely the champions of it, with their new single. I really like it as a fan of the band and genre, especially compared to other stuff they've done recently. I was debating posting their latest single instead, but I figure there's still a lot of people who haven't heard this one yet and I'd put it here first.

7/10 - I liked that one more then blink 182 song before.
Important and awful subject they are singing about if I got it right, with school shooters etc.
As always I have a hard time choosing which song to post so in the spoiler there is two more songs from the Swedish former band Broder Daniel.
Unfortunately all of the songs are blocked in my country.
Edit: Nvm, I can watch it on Youtube. I quite like it actually.
7/10 from me. It was really close with an eight because I did quite like it, but it didn't have the mysterious x factor that would get it to stick with me. Great song though. The harmonies were a little off sometimes but I kind of liked that because it almost felt more authentic that way.
This one has been stuck in my head for a while now and it's obvious a little different than the pop punk I was posting before. I would post the music video (which has better sound quality), but it has a shorter version that cuts out some cool instrumental parts. So I'll just put that one in a spoiler.
And yeah, it's a guy singing. The first time I heard Silversun Pickups and for a while after, I was convinced it was a girl but it's a guy with a really high voice. Ironically the time he sings the highest is when he sounds most like a guy in the whole thing.

6/10 - Really chill beat makes for a greaet background kinda song, something i'd play when working or concentrating elsewhere. Beyond that kind of lacking in any memorable way and i won't be there in a few days going "what was that song again?".
______
Now gotta be honest, this one is prety muc purely for the video (i like the song but fully acept most people won't). Terrible Acting? Yes! Poor jokes? Yes! A villain from Hellboy? Yes! Amazing Acting? Yes! Amazing jokes? Yes! Lesbians? HELL YES! Knife wielding lobsters? F*CK YES!
8/10 - I've liked Mando Diao for a good few years, and Sheepdog is one i do like. It's far from perfect and sounds a lot like earlier 2000's guitar-band music that was everywhere in the UK.
Now if you posted Dance with Somebody, probably a 10/10. Makes more use of his vocal skills and is more original.
I wanted to post another Avril, but three in a row would be too much...
5/10 - errhm ouh ooh okey. Not much feeling about this song it´s okey too listen at but dont "wake" anything for me.
Now on too a band I always have known that they excist but never really started to listen to them before now when the singer is on a tv show where others artist make new version of others songs. Often namned as one of the best singers in Sweden.

3/10 I'm not really sure what the song name and the whole band thing has anything to do with the song or the scene. I usually don't like rap anyway but the backing tracks are pretty decent I guess, so it bumps it up a little.
You guys might know this one. *Plug* I just did a cover of it on my channel if anyone wants to check it out. *Plug*

9.6/10 - It's Muse, what did you expect me to say? Not 10 because Muse has a couple of better songs, only a couple. And the video is lackluster for a Muse video. But it's Muse, so is still far ahead of a lot of things. Can't imagine why anyone would try and cover such a near perfect song, that would just be silly.
Can't recommend the Froot album highly enough, it's really quite stunning.
