Has anyone observe the Race Results page? Specially the multi stage races, it is not in order, like 1,15,3,5 etc. It seems like it was arranged randomly.
It is really annoying when you want to check the results.

If I remember correctly, this bug has been reported already and I am astounded that they did not fix it in the latest patch. You can report problems in the technical support forum on Steam. |

Yeah I thought so, thanks. I guess I'll add up to another long list of unsolved bugs complainants.
Also, do you have any idea what is the purpose of "observe" a rider in 3D race? Also I can't seem to observe everyone, just a handful of riders.

Couple of point completely separate questions here, and apologies if these have already been raised:
1) It appears you can only protect one rider now, and not create a 'protect chain'. Last years PCM you could do it by selecting the protecting rider to go get drink and whilst doing that protect him and so on and so forth. Has anyone found away of creating a protect chain?
2) In career mode, it appears you can only choose the objectives of your main riders and not everyone? Is that what others are finding?
1) it didnt work. they werent protected. it was just a bug that made it look like they were protected. pcm16 fixes the bug
2) yes
but i think it worked in mountain stages to keep as much as riders as posible in the main group... so what do you recommend to "control" the group in a mountain stage? infinite relay with a couple of riders and keep position with my protected leader?
thanks |

Yeah, normally it's best to infinite relay with 1 rider, relay with the others so they stay in front, and protect your leader with one rider.

Last played career in 2013, so just some questions:
1) It's still the case that material doesn't matter / doesn't have any influence on rider's performances?
2) It's no longer possible to adjust the speed of rider development/stat progression, right? So the only way of balancing it would be with coaches?
For example: I just had the experience of a rider who went up from SP/ACC 74/74 to 77/75 in the first two weeks of my career!
a) So the only way to make him progress a bit slower/more realistic (in order to not have him at 85/85 in March haha) would be to not assign him any coach or to assign him a coach who already has a lot of riders or to assign him a coach with worse reputation?
(all three criterias - the fact of having a coach + reputation + effectiveness have an actual influence?)
b) Have CPU teams the same possibility of coaches and faster progression or would it be just like training camp cheating because the other teams don't have that option?
3) Sponsor satisfaction and rider satisfaction - do they matter? Or has it still no big influence? (maybe only for contract expiration for both sponsor / rider?)
Edit: these questions better to be asked here or in General Career Discussion? Wasn't sure if there it shoud be only about experiences, results etc.

I would like to add a question to Leonel's point 2:
Under "STA_training_exercise" you can eddit the influence of the different training types (Sprinter, Puncheur,...) on the different stats. Every training type has a total of 12 points. So my Question is: Does it have an impact on the riders progression speed if I eddit the training types in a way that every type has a total of 8. Hope my question is understandable. |

1. It has an effect, but it's so negligible you won't even ever notice there's any.
2. Exactly.
2a. Yep you could do that I guess, the worse the coach's reputation the better in your case.
2b. Eh, it depends really, generally CPU riders don't grow as quick as your riders do - especially in procyclist's case - but if you do as you said in 2a it'll be pretty much the same.
3. I read that rider satisfaction doesn't have an effect on form so yes it probably only has an influence on contracts and stuff.
Edit: these questions better to be asked here or in General Career Discussion? Wasn't sure if there it shoud be only about experiences, results etc.
There really isn't a thread for it so this is fine no worries.

I honestly have no clue if it would work - sounds like something that you could test and report back though, it could be especially very helpful for db makers needing to make growth less OP like us

In career, we choose money coefficient. It influence the potential of the riders?
Before in PCM 14 for example we choose potential coef.
I need normal potential of riders and money coef-1.5. Is it normal for hard difficulty level? |

Shockingly "money coefficient" impacts only money. We no longer have the ability to change potentional speeds, smart move that one i agree.
Normal for normal difficulty, Hard for hard difficulty. Cyanide tries to mess with us but not in this case.

Money coefficient is the amount of money you get through results of races. The higher the setting, the more money you get. The setting to adjust development speed is gone, you can only choose to have random potentials or not to have them.

In every 3D race I start, my riders are set on 'automatic mode' at the beginning. Is there any trick to turn that off instead of changing it everytime at the start of the race? |

I'm 99% sure it's something hardcoded, I'm sorry.

For once in a lifetime I didn't got hyped about PCM launch (Only played 2015 like 15 hours), but god knows why I start playing it again.. So I was wonderring if the 2016 version was worth a buy?
I give a shit about multiplayer, graphics and unrealistics careers (I normally change all the unrealistic transfers myself), so all I care about is the 3D-part. Is there any change in AI-behavour? Do the other teams have some sort of tactics? Is the Be-A-Pro improved (So I'm not the only rider helping my captain if he crashes)? Do I have subsidiary goal during a stage, so I cant just give a shit about my team? Basically; Is the 3D and AI different from 2015? |

Is 2016 worth the buy? Depends how much you pay. Full price, god no! 50% or better, might as well drop the few quid on it if you hvn't bought PCM in a few years. 75% or better, can't go wrong on games down at that level.
Change in Ai-behavior? I guess there's some tweaks, but same old issues. Most stages are raced identically and lack inspiration, character or originality the vast vast majority of the time.
Be-A-Pro improved? Not in any significant way to elevate it over PCM15's first version of the game mode. Still shallower than a puddle in the Sahara during the summer.
Is it different from PCM15? Well the MO/HL stats are wildly different. Other than that i could barely tell the difference. If you've got 15, might as well skip 16 in all honesty

Btw is it just me or is signing riders really hard? I have this problem since PCM '14 i think..
Just everytime they just go to other teams, for less money than I offered even.. it's impossible to keep good leaders or attract good ones sometimes |

It's your preference really, both are complete, stable databases that are really similar in focus regions wise.
The EP has got I think about 15 continental teams more and a fair few more races, as well as almost twice as many custom sponsors and 1000 more riders or so, as well as a few more things that make it heavier size wise (~10 gb compressed vs ~5 gb). The FCD seems to have a slightly different stat matrix that sounds like an interesting change, but I don't know how much can help or break the game, while the EP sticks to Cyanide's matrix almost completely.
So as said, it's all about preference. If you prefer playing a WT/PCT career they are both quite good. The EP has an edge when it comes to a CT or custom career as it offers a wider calendar and more choice of teams.

I'd recommend the WorldDB, more realistic stats than the other 2 and they get automatically updated after every race of a proper scale. One downside is that it's a steam workshop DB, so it doesn't include bike sponsors. We're working on a fix for this. It currently has over 3250 current users and every single amount of feedback from the users is thrown into a pool of people who discuss the stats daily to make it optimal for the players.

"more realistic stats" sounds like bare advertising when it's not backed up with examples.
