Going back to the race (if you allow me), we got another difficult "murito" today. I'm definetly expecting Contador to attack in order to snatch a place in the podium.
Chaves is also there and I'm pretty sure he'll make things interesting.
As per Froome, I don't know what his mindset must be like now that he's over 3 minutes and a half behind Quintana, but at least I expect him to show some pride and battle for his 2nd place.
This is today's final climb, which makes its debut in La Vuelta: Camins del Penyagolosa, also known as "Mas de la Costa":

Just watch a youtube video of it, that is one crazy climb! I'm expecting qome time gaps here.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It is indeed a crazy climb, the likes of Mirador de Ézaro (which we already saw in the 3rd stage I think) and Xorret del CatÃ. I don't think we'll be seeing big time gaps, you know what happens which short, steep climbs like this. But some one will drop for sure and then again, you never know when a crisis can appear. |

Look at the road quality and the heat as well, I would bet some money that one of the big riders will blow up completely.

Probably Contador based on last couple of weeks.
Although Froome may struggle after the battering he's had in the last few days. He's got to go on the attack early but I don't think he has it in him this time, certainly not to make up 3.5 minutes.
Chaves & Yates could be the riders to watch. |

Well looking at Frank's bike he's running a 50-34 on the front and what looks to be a 12-32 on the back, that gearing says this climb's a proper beast

TVG doesn't seem to be suited for unevenly climbs.
Guess he prefers those 'merican roads that go straight up a mountain
instead of alp switchback galore or these ramps in spain.
Hopp Frank! I hope he bags that one. He so deserves it.
Him being a domestique in France next year...still annoyes me. |
