amazing right this was how I want to see cycling, riders trying to break their opponets by attacking over and over again.

I guess the myth about Contador is getting debunked little by little- you can only do so much when you doesn't have the legs, but I expected him to go with Yates today.
Balaverde.
Froome will be hard to beat now. Tomorrow is nothing, so pretty much only 2 opportunities left now. I think he needs 1.20 to win. |

Amazing Formolo, who is just outside top10 in GC. Valverde down to 19th in GC, 4'20 to 10th |

Can hardly remember when I last saw this fun and interesting stage in a GT.
So many good riders showing they had the guts to try something today, some failed other was successful but doesn't really matter as long as they tried and made this stage unforgettable.

Today's stage was great but the Giro had at least three stages even better imo.

Stage 19 definitely better and 14 and 16 were better as well, so yeah.
The Tour, however.... |

Pleasantly surprised by Formolo. In his other GT's he's always done great eraly but fallen off by now. he's still going strong at this point.

In the Giro i missed the battel between the two Giants. Otherwise some stages as good but imo not better, a matter of taste i guess.

Again lose Movistar stage victory. The overrated Quintana looks good out, so maybe he can improve his third place to second place.
Quintana has already overtaken Claudio Chiappucci, Jan Ullrich and Schleck brothers |

I reckon 1 minute will be somewhat a 50/50 going into the time trial - Quintana did super well in last year's ITT and Froomey isn't no Dumoulin. If the situation is like it is now, I still think Froome will win, but then you have Aitana afterwards and who knows what will happen there.
It shapes up to be an extremely tight Vuelta. Froome slight favourite now, but had he had anything left, he woulda gone and he didn't. Quintana had him in the ropes, but just quite couldn't finish him off. |

Not so much that he got worse but lack of opportunity was my issue with him going to Sky, he clearly went after the big paycheck which is perfectly understandable but he's a real solid GC rider and could podium in one if he was riding for himself. He's no superstar but a good solid rider who could do better than being a Skybot

You are always wrong about Froome vs Quintana. Because of your love to Movistar, world's worst tactical team.
Quintana can impossible beat him in a GTs. Simply impossible!
Froome smashes him on time trial and never ever really exciting.
I've always right about Froome vs Quintana, though I'm Froome fan.
You say Riis isn't objective yet the part I bolded pretty much sums up your objectivity on this subject, the blind rampant fanboyism is just plain exhausting buddy.

It's going to be hard for Quintana now. Today's stage just isn't very hard and i doubt he can drop Froome on it. Stage 17 he has to go all out on, and just risk everything, maybe he can make Froome go to fast on those 3½ km so he will explode.
It's Froome's race to lose at this point. |
