I knew it, I knew it... Froome is the pantomime horse of cycling, don't know how you can squeeze that, but Danny Pate is probably hiding somewhere inside.
Chris Froome is a combination of Mads Kaggestad and Danny Pate. |

Quintana is favorite to win now and we must listen to his fanboys (again again again) until Froome smashes him in TDF next year (again again again).
I do hope you appreciate the irony in this statement

Valverde doing better than Contador after 2 GTs Valverde was also better than Contador last year, only in PCM that Contador still is better. |

You sure are engaged in this thread for someone who considers the Vuelta and the Giro to be small races.

Great stage win by Quintana even though i felt Gesink deserved it after his though season + his great effort. Froome as per usual in the Vuelta, strange, but at the same time remarkable. The rider who impressed me the most today was Valverde. The old fox has ridden all grand tours, gets dropped quite early, gets caught by Froome when he set a furious pace which was even faster than Nairo. Manages to keep the wheel and distance the likes of Contador and keep his second spot in GC. Would be great if he somehow won the Vuelta, Vamos Bala!
PS : Great ride by Scarponi. |

Valverde has all my respect. One of the best riders I've seen for sure, plus he is an all-terrain. ¡Grande, Bala! |

El Condor won but the real Condor (van Varsseveld) finished 2nd.
I'm 100% sure Gesink will win on Pena Cabarga now.

Belgian? Yeah, sure. And the next thing you're gonna tell me is that Froome was born in Kenya or something. |

Ok, so I got a question for the community. Who do you think has been the biggest revelation in the Vuelta so far? And who's being the biggest disappointment?
So far in this race I can't think of a big revelation or big disappointment, it's all been as expected so far but let's wait to see what happens once we get to the 3rd week.

So i have seen the first stage of Vuelta yesterday...Valverde going for top5 again after 3rd at Giro and 6th at the Tour...hmm, seems legit. Froome roboting his way back thanks to wattmeter, one of the best comebacks in the stage i have ever seen in 20+ years watching cycling.
Uhmmm, okay, i guess i wont watch another stage.

Consistency is just scary in GTs but he really failed in his one big goal. As a Contador and Bala fan, I can not fault him for that tho
I think he could have won Il Giro if he hadn't had that one bad day (then again, part of winning a GT is minimising losses on a bad day..)
