Interesting signing by Garmin but I'm not really sure why they did it. They need guys in pretty much every discipline- sprints, cobbles, hills, TT's, they are all in dire need. And yet they get another climber? Makes no sense.
Don't worry man, it's very possible that they've signed one of the best cobbles rider out there. He (Vaugthers) probably means Vanmarcke, as he was already linked to the team in a rumour few days ago.

Vanmarcke was indeed the rider, who is Garmin`s new cobbled leader. Interesting move for him and let`s see how this works out for both sides. |

Let's hope he keeps at least same level in there. Not just getting worse..as Rolland, Uran, Moser, De Marchi..etc. |

Going into this I really expected Phinney to stay with BMC. I would be surprised if he didn't but satisfied as a fan either way. Definitely would be a good signing for Cannondale.

Awesome signing for Garmin! Vanmarcke got his start at Garmin and kind of jumped ship when he started getting results. Nice to see him back. The team has drastically changed since 2012 and he was desperately needed, especially after how disappointing Langeveld has been.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

That Drapac money must be good, still think that they should've signed Thomas and shot two birds with one shot, but Vamarcke, Phinney, van Baarle and Langeveld's corpse ain't a bad 2nd caliber classics team.
Also Frank to AG2R makes no sense. I was sure he's gonna go to a team that desperately needs a GC rider, but can't really get the top ones, like DDD for example. |

Quite curious as to what his role is gonna be since he's had pretty impressive under the radar season. |

Why do you think the Drapac money must be good? The teams budget if it's increased at all will be marginal at best, Drapac isn't a big money sponsor and if you look at who Cannondale-Drapac has signed so far only 1 rider would be getting a healthy contract and all the other new signings wouldn't be getting big money.

Do I really have to put a smiley next to everything that's meant to be taken half-seriously? |
