He fought 200 kilometers. Rode this race like a champion. Always at front, attacking, conserving and risking. Sooo happy for GVA
Obviously just meant the sprint Great race by him

Think I may have to temporarily ban all the Danes. Don't want them being like the Norwegians used to be |

Absolutely incredible race! Olympic Road Race seems to be always at least really solid racing. Smaller peloton and smaller amount of riders per team always produces a decent show. In the end easy sprint for GVA. But still a great race.

Nothing beats being reminded at 500 metres to go that I'll rot in hell...
One of the most exciting races I've ever watched. Too bad Alaphilippe couldn't snag a medal, he was BY FAR the strongest today. Incredible ride to get back into contention from a minute down.
GVA mixing it up with pure climbers certainly a deserved winner in the end, what an engine.
I never want riders to crash out of the race lead, but if a cruel fairy told me 3 riders from the lead groups would unavoidably crash and I would have to pick who I like the least, it would've been exactly those three...
Great ride by Buchmann, on par with Martin and ChriStem.

What a race! What a race guys! It was incredible finale. I feel quite sad for Nibali he would really deserved it thought. But BIG congrats to GVA, nice win.

GVA absolutely deserved win. Considering that this terrain was mainly for climbers! |
