I can't stress enough how good of a signing this is! Really solid, they need a couple more climbers, they are slowly becoming a GC-team. |

This is now a one-man team if I have ever seen one. For Bora that is not even a huge signing, it is like winning in the lottery. As a team they are not very good, so I wonder how Sagan develops under their training. Financially you do wonder if they have overdone themselves but I'm pretty sure that a wide arrange of german and international companies are now more possible sponsors in the future.

Well they didn´t have top riders yet, but some guys really did a good job in developing at Bora (König, Konrad, Buchmann)...but I agree, some new signings might be necessary (König, Martin?). For Bora & hansgrohe as a sponsor this is really the jackpot, only sad for Argon18 that this´ll most likely mean their sponsorship ends due to the appearance of specialized...

Bora are managing to seriously overextend themselves- Sagan, probably Majka and most likely Konig will just run the show. I'd be surprised if they could secure water bottles for everyone else.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

Why Majka? And a rumours say that most of Sagans wage will be paid by extern international sponsors (like f.e. Specialized)

You have been sleeping Shonak?
They are going WT, joined by strong co-sponsor and Specialized bikes, with buget rising up massively - guys like Majka and Konig are incoming, so certainly wont be a obe man team, they are bulding for legit future.

I'm giving you a Zabel just in case, because Oleg Tinkov (the guy, not the Daily-user) pretty much confirmed the deal several weeks ago.

According to Procyclingstats.com (of all sources) Valgren, Jesper Hansen and Gatto have signed with Astana. So far 8 of the Tinkoff riders have (allegedly) secured teams for 2017.
Majka is not yet confirmed at Bora, which makes you think that he may end up in another team (Katusha is most likely if it isn't Bora).

Concerning the contracts of Astana, it has been confirmed on their website

I like how Contador learned his young padawan Sagan that it is of great importance to bring several close friends to the team who don't necessarily are the best riders out there. Pawns, if you will, who can prove very valuable in various areas like a) make you sleep better at night, preferable with a night-night song in the native language and b) always can be depended on giving you your bike after a mech. Baska, Juraj and Kolar are the perfect men of that job. Bodnar doesn't quite fit that description as he actually is a very capable bike rider, but you also obviously need a couple of those, needless to say.
Interesting signings by Astana as well, I must say. Im not fan of Valgren, but he is hella strong when in shape. |

Speaking of Astana - guess all Italians sans Aru and the new signings Gatto and Moser (from Cannondaly) are likely to jump ship to the Bahrain's pet project. With a lot of Italians joining this project I think that only the license and the money will be from Bahrain, bu the rest will be pretty much Italian (management, base, etc.)
